I'm going to our church's Lenton services tonight which include a soup & sandwich dinner before services start. My older grandson's confirmation class is doing the sermons Wednesday's during Lent and it's his turn tonight Younger grandson and I decided we're going early enough to eat first. I don't think my DD or SIL plan to be there that early and I haven't a clue what older grandson has decided to do. Hopefully practice his sermon It's -29 below zero with the wind chill and honestly if my grandson weren't speaking tonight I'd stay home, eat leftovers and watch Survivor. I go to church on Sunday's and don't usually feel the need to go Wednesday too unless I'm serving the soup & sandwich. Even then I leave as soon as the kitchen is cleaned up, right before the service starts. So for tonight my dinner will be an unknown soup and sandwich, what are you having?

Cajun Chicken Alfredo. I've got some delicious smoked sausage leftover from yesterday's dinner that I'm going to use up in the dish.

Don't expect to see much of me for the next few days. I'll be picking up my sister at the airport tonight and the boys can fend for themselves after T-ball practice. Tomorrow night we'll have dinner at our local Mexican place, because she can't get decent Mexican food in Connecticut. Friday we're headed to Carmel for a scrapping weekend and we'll eat what they feed us. Usually we go out for dinner on the Saturday night to a nearby fondue place. mmmm On the way home from Carmel on Sunday, we'll have a late afternoon tea in San Francisco and that will probably serve as dinner. It's remotely possible I'll cook on Monday night, but my bet is we'll go out for Mexican again. On Tuesday, she's headed home and I'll be back to the regular old kitchen drudgery.

Beef Taco Bake. Haven't made it in a while, and ds and I really like it. DH not as much, but it's been long enough since we've had it that he will suck it up and eat it.

Have a fabulous time in Carmel. One of my all time favorite places.
Tonight we're having Russian chicken (which according to the recipe is just a fancy name for a chicken & rice dish), we'll have it with dinosaur kale and some sautéed zucchini.

I had got diced beef out, planning to do a stew tonight but my day didn't go as planned and I didn't get home until 6 so I've defrosted some crab and chili ravioli instead.

pancakes and bacon for DH and the boys.
I'll probably have a whole wheat waffle, turkey bacon and fruit...or maybe I'll just have a smoothie.

Well, it was going to be beef burgundy with Gnoochi. After I got home from the grocery store I was missing a bag of groceries. The one with half my ingredients. BOO, HISS. I refuse to fight traffic to get back to the grocery store.
So it will be bacon and eggs.

Pork chops in the crockpot with cream of mushroom soup and some other stuff on top. It's a new recipe, I have no idea if the family will like it; it's a new recipe. I'll be meeting friends at the bowling alley restaurant for dinner; they really do have good stuff.

Well, I am going to make what I had planned for last night. Hamburger patties and cottage cheese with a green salad. I am home alone tonight.
Last night my daughter talked me into going to ihop for National Pancake Day. I have never seen so many people at ihop!

Thanks, guys. We always have a great time at this crop weekend. We have a big group of scrapping friends who go. I forgot to say that after the airport pickup, we are headed straight to Fenton's for dinner. That's our local world-class ice cream and sandwich place. Poor us.

I am going to have chicken burgers and french fries. That will use up the crusty rolls from the other night and finish off the bag of frozen fries.
