Those shoes are not my style, but I'm not in a position to judge because I just ordered a pair of trendy slip on sneakers that are probably going to look hideous on me, but looked too comfy to resist. I want to see! Can you post a pic of your sneakers?

I think they look really comfortable!
(And that is pretty much all that matters to me)

honestly?? they remind me of a pair of briefs for your feet, the way they're constructed. I wouldn't wear them.

Not hideous, but I tried on a similar pair at DSW and they just looked ... Weird.

I like them. If I found a pair in person and they fit, I'd probably buy them.

Worn as shown or how you described wearing them, yes - I like them... I often (always) am either too lazy to pull together a complete look or don't have the other pieces required to pull it off... If I had the clothes, I'd be buying them

I think they are really cute. I can totally picture them being a "music festival" shoe

I like them! Unfortunately I have very short toes and thong type shoes don't often suit me because the sole extends way too far past my chubby little piggies.

Well I just went to the Sanuk website and I like the yoga slingshot ones. But I have to ask which size to get. I am pretty definitely an 8.5 so do they run big? Do I buy the 8? Or do they run small and I buy the 9?

Well I just went to the Sanuk website and I like the yoga slingshot ones. But I have to ask which size to get. I am pretty definitely an 8.5 so do they run big? Do I buy the 8? Or do they run small and I buy the 9? I can't give you a definitive answer because I've read reviews saying to go up a size and others say a half size down worked just fine. Personally, my foot is just at a size 8. I usually go up a half size because I like to have a bit of room in my sandals so my toes aren't hanging over. These fit me perfectly in a size 8. Enough length leftover on the sandal that my toes don't hang out. But I don't think if you are an 8.5 and like just a bit of sandal leftover that an 8 would work for you. So I would suggest going up to a 9. The straps are snug so I don't think they are of any concern. Do you usually go to a 9 when buying flip flops if they don't come in half sizes? I have had this issue when I buy cheap flipflops and I have always up-sized. I just didn't want the straps to be loose. Maybe I will try the 9. I really liked the slingshot ones and I needed a new pair of casual black sandals.
