SO's DS goes to school in Florida so won't be home for Easter. I'm trying to think of fun stuff to send him and having 2 girls myself, I'm not sure what he'd like.
Please help!

Peeps, jelly beans, you name it. Maybe some cut out cookies, an iTunes card. GC to a restaurant near him.

Whatever you would put in an Easter basket - candy, gift cards, cash. Has he been invited anywhere for Easter brunch or dinner? If not, maybe a gc to a restaurant where he can go have brunch/dinner and take a friend.

I would send outside stuff, frisbees, sunscreen (that stuff is crazy expensive), cash, quarters for laundry, candy (that doesn't melt, melted chocolate in the mail sucks and it's warm enough now for that to be an issue), gc for gas if he drives, gc to an office supply store, this is the time of year I run out of stupid school supplies and they of course are not on sale now. Pens, pencils, notecards or postits.

A chocolate bunny for sure!
How 'bout a cute tshirt, board shorts or flip flops.
I am sure cash or a gift card to a place he likes to eat would also be good.

Great thread! I have a 17 yr. old daughter that is a senior in high school, so we will be sending her stuff next year. I know that at least with girls, food is always appreciated. Especially with finals starting. Maybe an I Tunes gift card.
The other posters have great ideas!

I would suggest not to send chocolate. It's been extremly hot in Florida already. Stay to unmeltable candies.

Home made cookies or brownies or rice Krispy treats to share, non-meltable easter candy and cash!

Mine are all still home for Easter but I do send boxes throughout the year for Halloween and DS's birthday. For Easter I would do whatever his favorite candy is. A GC to go eat. Maybe a Target GC and he could go get snacks, book, something he would like but wouldn't spend money on. I don't know if I would mail a choc bunny. It is going to FL. (ETA: Ok, I see others have the same thought). A cute card. Maybe a DVD?

Thank you all for the great suggestions! Didn't even think of sunscreen for this time of year. Hell, it's the middle of March, 23 degrees outside and snowing in my neck of the woods.

If you send some small items like gift cards or cash put them in some plastic eggs.

Yeah this is already in full use for us in tucson, spent the day slack-lining and Frisbee. Used most of a can of spray on already. I don't know your budget but slack lines are a lot of fun and they get put up alL around campus here. I got ours for about $100 I think on amazon.
