Mine are definitely warm tones, but I'm thinking about going with a periwinkle blue accent wall behind my bed. I've been craving that color for years. Do you think it matters if the house doesn't have continuity on the color spectrum?
Secondary question: Do you crave certain colors?
**Added question: do the other walls in my master with its periwinkle accent need to be cool tones??

Definitely all warm colors in the open space. My girls chose their own bedroom colors and those are purple, pink and aqua.

My entire house has grey walls and white trim. The grey is a sort of greige...very warm.

Main areas are warm (shades of brown) but the bedrooms all seems to be shades of blue ... not sure how it worked out that way

Definitely cool. Just redecorated and it's white, grey and lilac, and the grey and lilac have blue undertones. I like warm colors in other people's homes but they are not colors I could live with in my own space. I also can't wear warm colors.

Cool. I need to feel that my spaces are expansive, not "cozy".

We have builders beige walls. I would love to have walls painted in a medium taupe

Our living room, dining room and hallway are all deep taupe. Two bedrooms and my craftroom are different blues. Our dd's bedroom is grey and our kitchen is yellow. It doesn't sound like it would work, but it really does!

All our walls are warm tones except DD's blue bedroom. I like the open areas where I can see the color from one room into another to flow together, but wouldn't worry about a different color in a bedroom. If you have been craving it for a while, go for it.
I craved red and have it in a couple of spots.

We'd never fight over the same garment if we went shopping together. But the lilac sounds wonderful.

More warm, but a mix. No continuity; no open floor plan so rooms are all painted at my whimsy and I dance to the beat of my own drum. Kitchen is blue with my hand paint scrollwork. Dining room is ivy green/Victorian. I hand painted ivy scroll all around the doorway. Living room is fall colors Master bed is tropical Computer room is nautical/maps Parlor is Mardi Gras with purple walls and green trim. The only continuity was by coincidence. The autumn gold color I painted the trim in the hall and stairs conveniently worked in both the living room and master bed as well.

I think you do whatever makes you happy. I have a mix of warm and cool in my house and I love it.

Remember when it was all the rage to "have your colors done"? (was that the 80s? or 90s?) The lady who did mine said I was ne of the only real "blues" she ever met. I am pale and have a definite blue tinge to my skin. Warm colors just wash me out totally, I can't even wear brown/beige nail polish, last time I did I kept thinking I had "nana hands"...lol. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. So even though I like warm colors in theory, I can't surround myself with them, it just feels wrong.
As for colors across the rooms - I say do what makes you happy and repaint when you plan to move. You're the one who lives there so make it a space you enjoy.

Cool in the bedrooms, warm in the public spaces.
I actually don't really like the warm colors, but I am too lazy to change them.

Most definitely ALL cool colors. We bought a foreclosure a year ago and gutted it. The formerly medium stained trim throughout the house is now white... 36 windows each requiring primer and four coats of paint. Every wall is a shade of cool gray or bluish gray; nothing remotely close to being a warm tone gray. My kitchen cabinets are gray. From reading the description, you may think it looks like gray threw up in my house Actually, every person who has come over has LOVED the cool tones. They admit they are too chicken to stray from the beiges, tans, browns and off-whites. We have lots of brilliant blue accent pieces throughout the house. We also use a lot of metal in our decorating. Our living room furniture is burgundy... a cool tone, and it looks wonderful with all the gray. Crave a color? I craved gray many years before it became popular and trendy. It's just easier to find now that other people crave it too!

Mostly warm, but I didn't choose most of the wall colors. The people who built our house either really LOVED the color peach or they just got a super good deal on peach paint. Ugh. Definitely NOT my favorite color! I'm going to gradually get rid of the peach if it's the last thing I do.
My studio is Benjamin Moore Atrium White with light tan beadboard underneath. Laundry room is also Atrium White and the closet will be too once we're done painting it. The kitchen and hallway to the laundry is peach with a faux finish. Formal dining room is a combination of peach and tan, a shiny faux finish which DH hates. Family room is more tan and cream, faux finish with textured walls. Hallways are tan. Guest room is peach. DD's room was peach too, we painted it pink before we moved her stuff in. The master bed, bonus room, closet and bath are a weird white with lavender undertones that needs painting. DD's bath is a peachy tan. So yeah. A whole lot of peach going on here!
I prefer white, cream, tan, beige. I don't like gray, blue or any trendy colors that I'll get sick of quickly. I'd rather bring in color with accents or furniture because they're easier to switch out when I tire of looking at it.

@crazy7scraps , peach is icky whenever I've seen it on walls. pjaye , I'm probably one of the few people loving all the orange in garments the past few years. I keep wondering when they'll faze it out. It can't look good on a big percentage of the population.

Gray, beige, white/off-white and pink. I'm gradually getting rid of the builder's beige in the house--LR is grey, but the kitchen, hallway and dining room are still beige. BR is pink.
Joy of owning your own house alone: You can have as much pink as you want, and no one bitches!!!

All the walls in my house are light colors. Light turquoise blue in two kids rooms, light pink in another and light beige in the rest of the house. I always get the lightest color on the swatch! I don't know if the beige would be considered cool or warm. Think Coastal Living magazine! I love the light colors in the houses in the magazine.

@crazy7scraps , peach is icky whenever I've seen it on walls. Ha ha, yes, and it's icky on my walls too! I think they were going for a kind of a Tuscan vibe in the kitchen with some funky texture paste stencil things raised up on the walls. Even if we wanted to paint, we'd have to somehow sand that stuff down before we could cover it over. PITA, so for now it stays peach. The kitchen in my old house was fun. DH decided on a whim to paint the bottom of the walls under the chair rail dark red when I was away for a weekend. I chose cream for the top and white for the chair rails, woodwork and cabinets. I decorated it with primitive wooden chickens. Somehow they don't quite fit here in "Tuscany" LOL!

Cool undertones on all the walls. Even the yellow room has a cool undertone and not a warm undertone.
