I have always loved the introduce yourself posts. Seeing a glimpse into another person's world is a bit voyeuristic and a bit refreshing to find out how much we all have in common. So have at it, my new friends. Tell us about your piece of the world.
I guess I should start. I'm old as dirt, (mid fifties) I have four kids who are finding their way into adulthood, and I have been in education my whole life. I have a husband who drives me nuts usually but I might as well keep him since he's already trained. I have a standard poodle named Cooper who is my sidekick and makes me laugh on a daily basis. I am trying to decide when and if I should retire soon. (Any advice would be greatly appreciated.) I love to read and garden and I never seem to get caught up with either. Very boring but also very lucky.
Next?

I am in my mid-fifties and lovin' life! Been married almost 30 years to a wonderful guy, we have a son who will be graduating from college next year. We have a rescue maltese who is a handful and we love this goofball dog. I love the beach - sea, sun & sand is my happy place!
I work part-time as an accountant for a high net worth family and I enjoy my job.
My hobbies are *pea*ing, scrapping, reading, cooking, gardening, traveling. Had my share of up' sand down's in life but overall feel blessed.

I'm a 30-something stay at home mom to 2 kids + I work very part time from home for a popular holiday foods company. So I'm busy and tired most of the time! I joined 2 Peas over 12 years ago and mostly stuck around the Scrapping and Pub boards for the first few years. I distinctly remember being on NSBR the night that we invaded Iraq and those threads terrified me! I was super active on the political board around the time of the 2004 election (pre-kids, when I had time for those shenanigans, ha!) and have mostly lurked since my DD was born in 2010. I go in spurts around here. I admit that my stomach dropped when I saw the boards were locked. I'm not FB friends with anyone here nor do I know anyone in real life, but you guys are my people. And I would have been a little lost without you.

I guess I would qualify as a lurker because I only had like 1600 posts, but most were on NSBR. I left for a good long while, but when I found out that the board closed I felt nostalgic and decided to "come back." I'm 39, married. I have three kids DS 12, DS 9, DD 6. My oldest has Asperger's and a mood disorder and we have had issues with him becoming increasingly violent over the past three years. This has changed for the better recently due to multiple reasons that are too long to get into. I am an RN but haven't worked since before my oldest was born. I found out about 5 years ago that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Over the years, I've had three other autoimmune disease tacked on: Hashimoto's, Sjogren's and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Due to being in chronic pain and the inordinate amount of stress involved in dealing with my son, I've lost a ton of IRL friends, so I've found a lot of solace in the internet and virtual friends. I dabble in photography. I make very little money doing it since I only take photos of friends for Christmas cards and new babies and such. I've been unable to grow my business due to my health but maybe someday. I look forward to learning more about all of you!

Long time NSBR lurker - about 12 years, but the first few years I was pretty active on the general scrappin' board.
I am 39 and single. I have a son who is 13, two cats and three birds. I work for a small company as their accountant and human resource manager.
My hobbies are Hiking, traveling, reading and local history. I love to take photos, but I am not very good at it!
I think I will start fresh and come out of lurkdom on this new forum. It is great to see a lot of familiar faces and to meet new ones.

I guess I would qualify as a lurker because I stopped actively posting shortly after my kids came home (we adopted two from foster care in December 2010). I've been VERY busy with them since! However I'd like to get back into being active!
I'm a 42 year old mom of three (20, 13, and 10 - my two youngest were 7 & 9 when they came home). I just went back to work after being a SAHM for two years for a company that makes a game app as the accounting and HR manager. My husband is a career airline manager, and we currently reside in Henderson NV.

I've been a daily NSBR reader since '06 when discovered scrapping. I've been active on UKS, the UK scrap site, and found out about the NSBR on there. It has kept me entertained since then and even though no body here knows me from Adam, I feel I've "got to know" a lot of the pea regulars over the years. I'm a 50 something mother of a teenager, currently going through a divorce and presently live in England but come fro the Highands of Scotland (hence Teuchter)

I used to post on NSBR pretty regularly but stopped several years ago, although I lurked almost daily. I have 3 kids, (12 yr old daughter, 11 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter). This was our first year of homeschooling so I am home with them and busy with that nearly all the time. I have a very part time job. Hubby is a restaurant manager. Glad that PEAS are not sunk.

I'm Miss Lerins Momma... changed my name here because I now have two kids, Lerin and Kiki!
I'm 35, married to my high school sweetheart and a SAHM. I think I have been a pea since 2004-ish? I was pregnant with Miss Lerin when I joined the board.

Lurker checking in! Daily reader for about 7 years, hence my name...I was always 'eavesdropping' on the peas 34, Married, no kiddos, in college as a non-traditional student, so I end up being the group mom in my lab sections, lol. Pretty sure I followed the normal Pea steps of finding my way here yesterday: got the email, realized the boards were down, commenced fast and furious Googling, relieved to be back with the peas.

Another PT poster & FT lurker here! I'm 50 (and 1/2) and a SAHM to 2 boys - 18 & soon to be 15. Older one is heading off to community college in the fall (if he ever decides to actually fill out his application . . . ) and the younger one will be a high school freshman, so it's a big transition year for us. I taught special ed for 10 years before deciding to stay home w/the boys. Over the years since I've worked in my boys' school, did daycare in my home, worked retail and did at home parties. Can't seem to find the right fit, so for now I'm a cross between June Cleaver & Roseanne. I've been married almost 23 years. I love to scrap & read and I watch waaaaaay too much TV. Looking forward to gettin' to know you all a little better!

It's great to learn about my fellow lurkers! I checked in at Two Peas throughout the day for the last year or so and hope to actually post once in a while here at the Refugee Camp.
I am 44, single, and live in Northern Illinois. I do some beading, and I think it was thanks to Two Peas that I recently got into paper planners. The day after Christmas 2013, I fell on the ice in my driveway and tore my rotator cuff, resulting in shoulder surgery in Feb. STILL going to PT!
<--------- See those two twerps over there in my avatar? Those are my two foster fails, Lily and Rosie, who comprise my screen name. They were 2 of 4 kittens in my first foster litter last summer. They joined a crabby 15 year old cat I already had. ( So yes, for those keeping track, I'm a 40 something single woman with 3 cats--freak!)
I grew up on a dairy farm, I've worked for the same company for 24 years, and here's a fun fact--I was in the audience on the Oprah show for one of the episodes near the very end. The guests were Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, and Tom gave everyone in the audience an espresso machine.
The End

I've been a lurker since well before I registered, but a member since 2005. I'm a stay at home mom to three of my own. My oldest is 19 and is in the Air Force, he is a member of the AF honor guard and is one of the guys who carries the flag during the funeral ceremonies at Arlington cemetery. We are pretty darn proud of him, it isn't something that just anyone is chosen for. So I brag a lot about it...I shouldn't, but I do. My middle is 14, she is pretty awesome when she isn't in teenager mode and the baby is 11. He has Asperger's and is not only challenging but hilarious and smart. I love them all bunches. My 17 year old brother also lives with us and has for three years now (some of you may remember the post about him coming to live with us) He will be here until he graduates next year as my parents still haven't gotten their stuff together...but that is for another post. We also house our oldest son's best friend. He graduated this spring and is looking (thought not nearly hard enough) for a job. I'm really ready for him to leave the nest, but I love him and he has some learning disabilities that don't make it easy for him to get hired, so we are probably in it for the long haul with him too. I also have a great hubby, we have been married for 15 years. I love him a ton. When you add in the two labs, I have my plate completely full! I used to scrapbook but just don't seem to have time for it anymore. I do have a small photography business and that keeps me busy as well.

Long, long time lurker here. I'm a 67 year old mother of 3 adult children, grandmother of 6 ranging in age from 2 to 20. My current hobbies are genealogy and reading. I also enjoy a bit of gardening. I dabbled in art for many years, did some volunteer work, and also had a small woodworking business until I totally burned out. I was fortunate to be a SAHM for most of my children's growing up years and then cared for three of my grands while their mother's worked. I've been married for 46 years and still like my husband quite a lot!

My name is Sheila and I live in Belton, TX. I work for the school district as a bus monitor. I have been married for 2 years (3rd marriage) and have 2 sons from marriage 1, they are 20 (aspberger's, associates degree/currently in school and working at the college), 18 (just graduated from hs and job hunting/will go to ODS's college in the fall), 2 from my 2nd marriage - dd is 12 and ds is 5 (they are with their dad currently and he just started a shockingly ugly custody battle the minute they stepped foot off the plane so i'm reeling from that)... i have fibromyalgia and some other health issues but overall I'm just doing my best to get through the day right now.

Long time lurker. I am 68 years old and enjoying life. I have been happily married to the same man for 49 years. We have two grown daughters and 3 of the best grandchildren ever. I have lived all over the US, England and Japan as my husband was career Air Force. I have had many hobbies over the years with reading, miniatures (doll houses), card making as my favorites. I also do quite a bit of traveling. Over the years I have learned a wealth of information from the Peas. Hoping this new board will continue to grow and become a warm place to come. I plan to stay out of the political threads !

I'm almost 48, been married to my hs sweetheart for 27 years, and we have 2 children. DS is 16, and DD is 12. I was a SAHM for 16 years, but recently starting working pt at a LSS. I found Two Peas in 2005, looking for inspiration for my Disney sb pages. Not sure how I ended up falling into the NSBR, but I was sucked in immediately. I would be considered a lurker, because I had just over 500 posts in 8 years, but really, I just rarely had anything to add to the conversation, that hadn't been said 10 times already. Then there is that "if you don't have anything nice to say" business. I'm looking forward to, hopefully, being more active this time around.

I was a lurker for a while before joining about 7 years ago. I've posted a bit more in recent years, but was still in the 1,000's at 2 Peas. I'm going to try to be more involved here as I realized yesterday just how much I love the Peas when I thought they had all disappeared! LOL!
Anyway, I'm married, in my middle 40s, and we have a 9-year-old daughter (see Avatar - old but a favorite picture of her!). We adopted DD from China when she was 12 months old. I'm finishing up my master's degree in counseling and will start a year-long internship at a local counseling agency in August. Excited and terrified about this as I've been a SAHM since DD came home from China.
I am somewhat addicted to Pinterest - Sometimes it seems I collect pins about cleaning and organizing my house instead of actually cleaning and organizing it. I'm also into paper planners, I'm a Project Life failure x2, a wanna-be cook, and I like making mini albums when I have time. I also love reading, going to movies, and traveling as much as possible (which isn't often).
