I found a ziplock full of buttons marked $1. They are small and just perfect for scrap pages. I had fun sorting them. I love buttons.

That's a great bargain and you got some great colours. I love the little blue ladybug ones. I have banned myself from even looking at buttons as I have way too many and almost never use them on my pages.

Fantastic find! I remember when I was a kid my mother had this huge bin of buttons that I used to go through, sort and play with. I love buttons as well. My collection isn't nearly as large as hers was, but it's getting there.

What a great find!
I love vintage buttons, but I never find a good deal on them in this area.

Awesome! My MIL was having a garage sale recently, and she had a few bags of buttons ready to go, so I said I'd buy them from her. She gave them to me, saying that they had been her mother's. her mom worked in a dress factory and was allowed to bring home extra buttons. Then she went upstairs and came back with a huge basket full of buttons! I filled 2 jars so far and haven't even put a dent into this button basket. i need to dig out some more jars.

One of the first things I did when I moved out was to establish my own "button box".

Oh how fun! Buttons are so cure on layouts, and I love the vintage ones that you can find at flea markets or estate sales. May have to start a "button jar." Thanks for sharing your find.

So funny about the button jars/boxes as kids! My mom had a large candy tin full of buttons and I also loved to go through it sorting and marveling at the "special" ones in there. I still have a weakness for buttons.
I am a late bloomer for scrapbooking trends so just recently started using sequins and I have the same kind of love and obsession with sequins. I bought a lot of old sequins from someone and have spent many a happy hour in my craft room watching tv while sorting and organizing them. I am fascinated by the different shapes, cupped vs. flat, and all of the COLORS!

Great find, especially with all the colors!
My neighbor moved away and she was border line hoarder..but she had to downsize big time.. sad story.... but she gave me this HUGE bag of buttons, one of those gallon size Ziplock bags.. full of them.. most of them are the little white'ish clear ones. Not sure what I am going to do with all those but it was fun to go through and pick out the unique ones.

I was cleaning out the closet in my scrap room last night and found a bag of sequins - I don't even remember buying them, but they are all different shapes: flowers, butterflies, hearts, circles. I put them in my current scrap supply box. I will use them.

I love buttons. My grandma had a tiny little house, so no room for toys. We'd play with the coffee can full of buttons!

I got a shipment one day from TSY and it was a million and one old MM buttons...and to save on packaging I asked her to combine them all. WTF was I thinking? It took forever to separate them and even then I have only done a couple of colours!
