My work is having a potluck competition between teams, and each team has to have a theme. The theme needs to be a TV show. We have to be able to make food that fits the theme, as well as do some decorating to fit. Finding decorations is much easier than finding food to fit in with a TV show. We need to have at least 4 or 5 dishes that could be something special to present to our judges.
The only suggestions we have so far were Game of thrones and Sons of Anarchy. I don't love either of those because there are not a lot of food choices to go with them.
Any suggestions on a show that would be easy to incorporate food into the theme?
It does also have to be work appropriate. We already thought of doing Breaking Bad and having breakfast and blue rock candy, but we thought that would be a HR issue...LOL.
Update on 5/20: We finally made a decision! My team picked Hell's Kitchen as our theme. They all thought it would be the easiest to do. Now I just need to figure out what I am going to make. =) Thanks again for all the fun suggestions.

What about books instead of TV shows. Our management came up with the idea of a TV show. Books would have been a lot easier, for sure! The office is a good idea. Thanks!

If you go with the Office, there's an episode where Kevin makes a big pot of chili (and drops it on the floor). There's also a funny short somewhere called "Kevin cooks in the office" where he makes "meals" from vending machine food. Also, Jim always brought tuna fish sandwiches (Andy called him Big Tuna). There's also an episode where Dwight has to pick the health plan and one of the fake health conditions Jim puts on the form Dwight makes everyone fill out is hot dog fingers.
Also, Jim put Dwight's office supplies in Jello, so you could do a Jello dish.

Duck Dynasty: southern home cookin'. I'm pretty sure Miss Mama Duck Dynasty cooks on the show sometimes? Wear camo! Downton Abbey: a traditional English meal. Dress as the serving staff. Any kind of vampire show: colour all the food red and call it "bloody ___" ... Bloody peanut butter sandwiches... bloody vanilla cake...

I'm thinking Mad Men would be fun and very easy to decorate for. The food wouldn't be too hard either. A molded jello salad, etc. What about M*A*S*H? Or does it have to be a show that is on now?

If you choose Friends you must include phoebe's grandmother's famous chocolate chip cookies! Remember they built a whole episode of Monica trying to replicate them and at the end it was determined it was Nestle Tollhouse spoken in a French accent.

That show was filled with food. They had that whole episode about pork chops and applesauce.

There is a whole Game of Thrones cookbook, I think that you would be able to find plenty in that!
