alibama, Thanks for thinking of me. I'm doing ok. Right now I'm undergoing radiation. My last day is 26May. Then more scans/tests and we'll go from there. Most likely I'll need surgery to remove any remaining cancer. I've been experiencing a lot of bone pain and issues with the chemo neuropathy. Overall I'm doing well and in good spirits. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers. They're appreciated more than you know. :-) Take care, Kat

I'm sorry to hear that. Dh had bone pain just one day and it was bad. Then neuropathy but just here and there. I think he's been very fortunate. Praying for you.

momof3pits, did you have that baby yet? I just stalked your posts, and I see you haven't posted in a couple of days. I hope that means there's a new little boy in pea world. Great luck! I had a Mother's Day baby! I'm on cloud 9 now, minus the exhaustion and breastfeeding struggles, but we had a very scary Saturday night. Short story, went in for routine induction. Ended up with panicked emergency csection due to undiagnosed placental abruption. Most terrifying moment of my life, worrying about this little guy! He had some problems with low blood sugar so I'm having to supplement formula. I'm really having a hard time in the bf area. Thanks for reporting in. You know you have several thousand pea ladies all excited for you now. Congrats and please go easy on yourself. Get some sleep whenever you can. And if the breastfeeding doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world.

alibama thank you. Dh has one more round of chemo coming up on May 21. This last one hit him hard. He's been wobbly, heart racing if he climbs the stairs etc. he has a follow up today. He is afraid they may keep him but we are thinking he probably just needs a blood transfusion. I can't take him today because I have a meeting after school with special services for ds10. They did a whole bunch of testing, looks like we are looking at ADHD. But anyway our friend J is taking dh to the dr. He is in good hands, J won't let him put anything over on the dr, he will understand what is said and be able to relay it to me. I'll update later. ETA thank God it looks like he just needs a blood transfusion. Today and then I have to take him back for more tomorrow. Thanks for the update. Your husband is in my prayers everyday!

It's absolutely overwhelming to come here and see that some Peas have been thinking of me and wondering how I'm doing. I'm so touched.
I had chemo 4A last Wednesday so that was treatment 7 out of a total of 12. In lots of ways I've been quite lucky with minimal side effects but I have had some this w/e and am feeling pretty tired and sore (kind of flu like). I own a tax business so since I started chemo the first week in March I've been working 14-16 hours/day. It's been hard but now that tax season is over I can relax a little bit and rest a lot more. In lots of ways I've been glad to have the diversion of work to keep my mind off the cancer but it's been pretty exhausting. If I continue to be healthy enough to go forward with chemo, I'll be done by the end of June.
Not entirely sure what will come after chemo is done--surgery to remove my abdominal chemo port and genetic testing but not sure what else.

Okay...I'll fess up to being the mom of the daughter given the guitar by the homeless man and his father at the city library. I had TWO car wrecks shortly after and tried to come update and apparently I have the net skills of a cave man because it didn't post. So I'll try again now that life and my car drama has calmed down. I went to the library and talked one of the librarians first. She was very receptive and totally understood why I was coming to her. Turns out, she is familiar with the young man and his father but didn't know a whole lot about them. After she pointed them out to me, I approached them and went outside to talk to them. Turns out, they hardly even know my daughter. The father had bought the guitar for the son, who is 20 and on the spectrum. The young man found that it wasn't his thing so they had been trying to sell it on craigslist. After being unsuccessful, they decided that they wanted to give it to someone that would appreciate it and not just try to resell it for some quick cash. Apparently, the young man said, "Hey, what about that little girl at the library that is always outside singing?" And that is how it happened. I feel very comfortable that there is nothing suspect or unsavory going on. Both the father and son were very nice and well spoken but the son seemed kind of uncomfortable after few minutes in so I told him I was fine if he wanted to go back inside. He did and put his headphone back on and resumed rocking. A few days later I went back and gave them $200 which was $25 less than what they were asking on craigslist. They hadn't asked or even insinuated about money when I initially talked to them and while we're not rich people, life is okay at our house and I feel pretty blessed. They said thank you and I went on my way. So again...total apologies for the oh-so-late update but I'm kind of flattered y'all even remembered that!

Was it peace who was selling her house and found out that her XH had made a financial mess for them? What happened with that? How are things going now? iamkristinl16 thanks for asking about me. Ex is still being completely unreasonable. The financial mess grows but I know most of it is conjured for the court. I've been trying to end things quickly for over year now but he's just being a douche. The house did transfer and I found out he didn't pay many things that ended up being taken out of the proceeds. He's a wiley one. Good news is I have moved and I have a job. My future is bright albeit financially uncertain. I am sad ex doesn't make an attempt to see our daughter but I can't make him and she's so mad right now I don't know if it would make a difference. (he hasn't seen her in over 3 months now) I do go to court Tuesday so send some good juju my way. Closure would be good. Thanks again!
