I love traveling but . . .
Wish that I could afford business or first class. Flying coach stinks.

I love traveling but....
I often wait later than I had planned to pack.
I hate to unpack but we do it as soon as we get home.
seriously.....you want me to take off my shoes?? When will I remember to bring socks???
It is often a bit stressful for me to leave. I love to learn and do so as often as I can but if we are going on a family trip than I am packing for 3 people and if we are going away just the 2 of us. It is less to pack but I have many details to tend to and handle prior to leaving so that everything is in place while we are gone.

I love traveling BUT will love it more when I retire from teaching in a year or two. Oh yes, I understand said the retired urban middle school teacher who had classes of up to 39 students! Retirement is heaven!!! I've been retired for 3-1/2 yr. now and I still wake up and thank whoever that I don't have to go to work. Ever again!!! I feel like I've won the lottery!!!

During this current stage of life my traveling really only involves my 3 day drive by myself from Texas to Michigan and then the return trip six to eight weeks later. I HATE how stressed out I get the week or two before I leave Texas. I dislike how difficult it is to be traveling with 4 dogs that are so different in size, age, and capability. I don't like to unpack when I get home, so there are probably still things left unpacked since last year. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png)

HATE to fly. I get really bad anxiety when flying. The last time I flew was 1 1/2 ago when husband and I went to Dallas. It was horrible.
I love traveling but I really need to be drugged so I can deal.
Now road trips... I love them... I love to drive and I love seeing all I can see while driving.

. . . I hate dealing with carseats.
Seriously, the person who comes up with a safe, affordable way to get car seats at your travel destination is going to be my bff.

I love traveling, but miss my fuzzies like crazy and worry about them! If my husband is home the first thing I ask about when I call is the critters. I think he gets insulted, but since he answers the phone I figure he is ok!
I also love traveling but hate sleeping in a strange bed.

It requires so much planning! I would also like to arrive with a poof and no jet lag! My SIL is a travel agent and thankfully does all of the planning for us. I love that!

Thankfully I only had 24 this year (lowest in a long while). I still love teaching, but I am done being told what do! I, too want to sleep in and not worry about being the only district without a snow day.

I HATE unpacking!!!!! I don't mind anything else....flying, packing, laundry, long drives.....but I hate, hate, hate, hate unpacking. I am sitting in my tiny apartment surrounded by all the luggage and STUFF from a 2.5 week trip we returned from on Wednesday. I just can't deal with any of it!!!

I am another one in the "can't stand packing" camp! I'm getting better lately, but I usually pack way too much stuff and stress out about making sure I have everything and that it's all organized and every contingency planned for (weather and/or medical-related). And the whole working-full-time thing gets in the way of all the travel I'd LIKE to to (although it certainly helps out in terms of paying for the travel we ARE able to do, LOL)!
Edited to add that I don't mind the unpacking & laundry at all at the end of a trip - just the packing at the beginning.

I love traveling...
but don't enjoy the whole process of flying.
I LOVE road trips, but not when it's raining, or you have to sit in accident traffic for an hour.
I LOVE traveling...
but I wish I could just beam myself to the destination and cut out the "middle man".

I love traveling, but I hate leaving my dogs with other people. Me, too! My middle daughter usually watches them, but I have 2 cats and 4 dogs...I know how much work it is and I stay at home. She works a full time job, lives in her own home and has a cat of her own, so I know how much trouble it is for her...I hate that!

I love traveling but wish it wasn't so expensive for a family of 5. And we've gone with the kids on a week long vacation since the oldest was 1, and she's almost 16. It's a priority for us, we drive older, paid for cars and don't eat out much to be able to go. DH and I have never traveled by ourselves, 8 more years and then we can:).

I love travelling but hate that it can't really be done without a great deal of pfaffing and planning and organising and booking......at least according to DH. He plans everything to death and I know that, to a degree, it has to be that way (car booked for the other end, currency organised, travel insurance etc etc) but I'd love, just once, to say Let's go, grab a bag with a few essentials and head to an airport and see where we end up.
