My DH has always made sure that the kids acknowledge mother's day (and he does as well). Our youngest has DS and autism so hubby shops for him and has him give me a gift. He bought beautiful hanging plants from each of them. My DD and I went to a taping of Jimmy Fallon in NYC a few weeks ago, and we went to Donna Bell's bakery in the theater district (owned by Paulie Parret from NCIS) and bought me the cookbook from the bakery that I wanted She wrote a very sweet note on how much I mean to her. Oldest DS gave me a beautiful card and a gift certificate for a massage. DH then took all of us out to a beautiful brunch (with mimosas and a venetian table).

I have loved reading all these stories - thanks so much for sharing them! fiddlesticks, so sorry to hear about your DH's aunt - no matter if we are expecting it or not, it's hard to say goodbye to a loved one.

I had a very nice day. My dh made it a very relaxing day for me. I got Pandora charms from each kid and just felt very loved. I don't require big to-dos. Just let me know that I matter.
