Several years ago when my oldest DD was being particularly grumpy and mouthing off, I had had enough. So when she went flying out the front door to catch the school bus, I yelled out "I hope you have 10 kids just like you!" It was all I could think of at the moment and she just looked at me like I had two heads, lol.

DS is in the process of deciding if he wants to enlist in the Navy. He tried college for a year, got good grades, but it wasn't for him at this time. He is working construction now and living at home. I told him that starting in Sept. he would need to pay some rent. He stated that he shouldn't have to pay rent to live in his own house. He would just go live at our cottage on the river. My retort was " Bummer. Same landlords."

DH calls our DDs "Children of the Corn". For instance, if we are going somewhere, he will yell "Children of the Corn, get in the car!"

DS asks quite often why his uncle, who is my younger brother, is completely gray and I'm not (and, no, it isn't the hairdresser's help). I've finally settled on, "He got a son exactly like HIMSELF; don't act like your cousin because I like my hair the way it is."
