oh, yeah-- the Snuggie!! I got it for Christmas sort of as a gag gift, but I really do like it for lounging on the couch. The cats love it, too!! I got my mom one when she went in for back surgery. I would have really liked to have had one when I was in the hospital. You can't get a robe on with the IV's and the hospital blankets are never warm enough. Hospitals are always cold. I'm not sure if my mom used hers.

We had a Dr. Ho. I think it's a TENS unit but not medical grade. I really liked it a lot. The batteries we had in it exploded so I threw it out. I would definitely replace it!

Do you remember my story of the scrubbing gloves, the ones with the plastic brush fingertips. Remember how I waited months for them cause they were so popular and were on back order. tiffanytwisted remembers I bet. Well, after months of waiting with anticipation, they finally came. And guess what? Ready? THEY SUCK!!!! The glove itself is made of this thin, thin material and leak horribly so your hand gets soaked. The fit is terrible, they were huge and wouldn't stay on my hand. The bristles are pathetic. You can get better results from just wearing kitchen aide rubber gloves with a toothbrush. So that was a wasted $19.99, even with the.....but wait, there's more, if you order within the next 365 days, we'll send you a second set for free!!! All that meant was I had two pair to throw away. I have gotten some decent ASOTV stuff, however the scrubbing gloves weren't one of them.

I just bought ElimiTag from the pharmacy. I haven't tried yet; I'm afraid to.

We love the Aerobed, an inflatable bed, and it started as a half-hour infomercial too. That thing is great!

I've been wondering about those gloves and am so sorry to hear they suck and that you have 2 pairs of them!! Boo!

Ped Egg but from way back I bought the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie. When my DH was alive we used it all the time. We even wore one out and immediately ordered a replacement. Now it sits in my pantry unloved, it's just not worth the effort cooking just for me I HAD to have one so DH got me one from Macys. My problem with it is it smells up the house with whatever I'm roasting ~ and not in a good way. And it's too much trouble to lug it outside and back in to clean. So like yours it sits in the pantry. OK, so I only read the first couple of words from akathy's quote and then read your post. I was wondering why does her Ped Egg smell up her house?! Then I went back & read all of her post, lol. As for me, I have never ordered anything from TV, but have bought a few things that have made it to stores. Still use my Ginsu knives that I bought from a mall demonstration in the 80's. Love my Snuggie. My Space Bag ripped a seam, so that didn't work out so well. Am bookmarking this thread for references, though!

The first thing I ever ordered from "As Seen on TV" was a pair of boobs! Say what??? I cannot remember the name of it, but it was a pair of "silicone breast inserts" that you put in your bra. The reason I got them was for a wedding I was in & you couldn't wear a bra w/the dress b/c the top was all sheer. When I ordered them it was the BOGO deal, so I got my best friend the other pair. I ended up wearing them quite a bit until I brought them out at a party we were hosting & my friend dropped one on the floor & it broke! It was quite funny! I wish I could remember the name of them! It was quite the conversation piece!
Some other things I've gotten were:
a Snuggie (it was colder than expected while camping & I bought the last ugly UF gator one at Walgreens) Vegetti - I need to use it more Hand held steam cleaner- Used it a lot when I first got it but it's been sitting in the garage collecting dust The bullet blender - still use it a lot for smoothies Swivel floor sweeper - used it a lot, now collecting dust Wonder hanger set - didn't like it, gave it away Smart mop - used it quite a bit The brownie pan that makes individual brownies (only used it a few times & re-sold it) Some type of car wash extender (used it a lot) Ped egg - love it & still use it. Bought replacement blades & sandpaper
Oh geez, way more than I remember!!! Most of them were purchased in the store.

The microwave ramen noodle cooker works well. MIL bought both DS and DD one for Christmas. Although it doesn't cook that much faster than on the stove-top, it is convenient. DD uses hers all the time, but she doesn't have access to a stove at the dorms. She has been known to carry her cooked ramen with her when she is in a hurry. DS still insists on boiling the water/noodles on top of the stove. I think I have to find this for DS. He is going to be a freshman in the Fall. He will have a microwave in his dorm room. This would be perfect.

Elaine-what is the spicy shelf? I have two round plastic spin around things that my spice bottles sit on and it's such a hassle every night when cooking to find my spices. Debbie in MD. Debbie, above is the box and below is my actual spice cabinet with two set up side-by-side. I love cooking with spices, and so have many, yet have always hated how hard it was to find what I wanted in my spice cupboard and how others would come raining down each time I went for a spice, until these spicy shelves! Elaine-Thanks so much for taking the time to photograph yours and provide the link-they look wonderful! As I said I have the plastic lazy susan things-and the problem with them is some spice bottles migrate to the middle and hide behind the ones in the front, and you know how it goes-those are always the ones I'm looking for when I'm cooking With The Spicy Shelf it looks like you can see everything all of the bottles at a glance. You'll get a kick out of this-I must have had this thing on my mind because I even dreamed about it last night! I dreamed it was a huge contraption that went into a pantry closet and took electricity to turn on-when it did it made a bunch of noise as the spice bottles went by one by one while you chose which one you wanted. Great idea except the noise it made sounded like jet engines going off. I remember shaking my head and saying, "No, no Elaine, that won't work for me-not with my migraines"

When my son was little he somehow dropped an entire egg coloring bowl of purple dye on the tan carpet. OxiClean saved his life. Perhaps literally. (The carpet was nowhere near the dye at the time.) I just poured some on it and BAM! Purple gone.

I didn't order it from the TV, but I did see the infomercials...then I saw the "V Slicer" in a shop and brought one on a whim. This was the original version and I think I have had it for at least 15 years and that thing is still going strong.
I did buy a fancier one about two years ago, but it wasn't as good as the original, so I gave the new one away and got the old one out again (luckily I hadn't tossed it out yet) I use the V slicer at least several times a week, mainly to slice vegetables for salads as I have horrible knife skills and always cut myself. My big fear has always been that I'll slice a finger off in this thing, but so far (touch wood) never even nicked myself.

I am not sure what half of this stuff is!
DD has that slushy mug thing - kept bugging me for it and finally it was on clearance for $3 and I bought it. It actually works great and she loves it.

My old roommate ended up with 3 food dehydrators. Her new roommate was into watching The Shopping Channel (they sold the same one on TSE as the infomercial). 3 though!

I did not buy any of my stuff from TV. Just waited for it to show up at the store. So much more to buy from TV no matter how much they try to convince you cheaper and will not be in stores.
I have way more things than I remember being as seen on TV items as I have looked at everybody's lists.

I also love my Spicy Shelf! Yep, me too! I flip flopped back and forth about getting it but so glad I did. Really cleaned up my cupboards. And I'm another Snuggie lover. I bought them for both my son's one Christmas as a joke. One of them left his here when he moved out, and I claimed it. He's not getting it back!
