For me,
If it comes from 7-11, it is a Slurpee
if it comes from another place, it is an Icee

I know that they are Slurpees by brand, but we call them Slushies.

I've always called them Slurpees. That being said, I don't drink them. I really don't like drinks with a high amount of sugar in them and am kind of grossed out by them.

7-11 sells Slurpees. Icees or just "frozen pop/drink" everywhere else.

And now, thanks to this thread, it is all I can do to not jump in the car and run go get an icee.

When I was a teenager, we called them mixers. It was really easy to buy one, dump in some bourbon, and instant party!

If it is from 7-11, the cup from 7-11 specifies what it is called, Slurpee.

I had my first slurpee 38 years ago.. it was called slurpees back then and still is today. In fact, had one tonight.. first one in a few years. We call slushies those drinks that have the small balls of ice in them and then flavoured liquid.

You can only get a Slurpee at 7-11. You can get Icees at Target, the movie theater and all other kinds of places. Slurpees are slushier than Icees. I have thoroughly researched this subject . You and Sheldon And also me, because I thoroughly agree.

At least where I live, I've not seen them anywhere other than 7-11. I haven't had one in years, because I can't finish one. Even a small is too big for me, and I am too cheap to throw half of it away.

That would be a Slush Puppie. Slush Puppies are something else entirely. They have the little ice beads in them, like the Mr. Misty at Dairy Queen. So a slurpee is completely frozen? We don't have that much choice in those kind of drinks over in the UK.

We don't have that much choice in those kind of drinks over in the UK. I think so... but it's not frozen "solid" the way ice cream or even a milkshake is frozen. A slurpee (and an icee) are very, very light and smooth in texture-- almost like a foam.

I just refer to any drink of this type as a slushy. I don't really make a distinction. This.
