Night Owl. With lunesta I try to crash before midnight. Without it it's into the wee hours of the morning. I like to work on my projects later in the evening. But then I don't get going till 11am or Noon.
Do you work better at night or in the morning?

I'm a bit of both. I love to stay up late after the kids have gone to bed so I can do my own stuff. I usually go to bed by about 11:30pm, and I HATE having to get up in the morning. However when it comes to housework I tend to be more efficient in the mornings. I LOVE mornings in summer.

I've morphed into a night owl, though I don't entirely mind being up early.

Night Owl I don't like getting up in the morning. When I do, I get a lot done.

My preferred schedule sounds a lot like your's. If I can, I like to wake around 10 and be functional by noon. I tend to stay up very late too.

Definitely a night owl. Love the summers when I can sleep in with my kids (I work at home).

I'm definitely a night owl, which isn't the best for my kids. I'd rather they be morning persons but they're often up with me at midnight on non school nights.

100% night owl. that is when stuff gets done around here. I clean up after the kids go to bed.

More of a morning person here. Am usually up at sixish. I can't lie in bed once I'm awake.

Not strictly one thing or another. I guess I'm more likely to be efficient etc in the morning - just don't talk to me first thing.

Mainly morning. I am more more alert and wanting to do things. If I'm not up by 8 then I think the day is nearly over. When I'm at work I'm usually there for just after 7.30 am but conversely on the days I do late shift I'm not usually home before 11 pm and it takes me a while to wind down so I can be sitting up till 2 or 3 am. The saying that the older you are the less sleep you need is becoming true for me. I am rarely in bed before 12.30 am no matter when I have to be up but I still think of myself as a morning person.

Definitely morning. I wake up without an alarm, and work best before 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. I never do housework at night.

There are other options. Like being crepuscular (both early morning and evening) Left to my own devices I tend to be cathemerial (sleep and wake cycles that are fairly evenly distributed through out a 24 hour period) I'm happiest when I can sleep 4-5 hours then be awake for 4-5 hours and repeat.

Morning person. Before I became a SAHM, I got up at 4 am and was at work before 7 am. Now, I usually sleep until 6 am (and have trouble staying awake after 10 pm). The rest of the family are night owls.

Oh morning, definitely. Said as I type this at 5:50 a.m. And I've been up since 5:00. Left totally to my own preference I'd go to bed at 9:00 and wake up by 5:00 but probably earlier if I did indeed get to go to bed at 9:00.
And, this thread is funny. Most of the ones who replied said "night owl", because it was night. lol. Now it's early morning so let's get some more early morning folks in here.

Definitely a morning person!!!! I am up between 5-5:30 a.m. seven days a week! But I crash at 8:30 p.m. on the couch. I have been this way my whole life.

Morning person. Up early and rarely see 9pm unless it's in bed reading or we're out at an event. I love early mornings, with my coffee, my favorite message board and the birds singing...
