Our students go until May 28. We have our last day on May 29. I still like my 6th graders. They are still willing to learn and are working hard. My 7th graders are quiet and work, but they are still as needy as they were at the beginning of the year. My 8th graders are driving me crazy. I have them at the end of the day, and they have mostly mentally checked out. I dread the last 2 hours of the day. The end can't come soon enough. OMG, I need the year to end. I have done so many IEPs and ETRs in the last few months that I feel completely fried. The paperwork is never-ending. Exactly this! My brain is done in and we don't finish until 24th June.

Lucky...we go till June 26 and I'm still organizing our grade 12 Grad. My grade 12 are so done already and to be perfectly honest I'm done with them too! when do you go back? We aren't done until June 26 as well, and we go back Sept 8. We had Sports Day ( field day) at my school on Friday, and my grade three kids have somewhat checked out. It's going to be a long 5 weeks!

The Tier I'm in in NYS, you have to be 55 with 30 years...those hired since 2013 (?) have to be 62....dumb ass governor~~ I'm 56 with 34 years...trying to get to 35 for a higher percentage.

We've got another 20 school days to go here, but I am very fond of my students. Two of them are clearly done and are driving me completely up the cuckoo tree, but the others are still working hard. What I find difficult is all the interruptions to instruction that happen in the last weeks of school - assemblies, activities, practice for this and that, meetings... I just want to teach my students.

We finish the same day as you. I'm hanging on by a thread. We're in the middle of moving right now (moved out today, staying at hotel until we move into the new house on Saturday) and I'm changing jobs, so I'm moving out of my classroom as well. That stresses me out just reading about it! I'm looking at the bright side - I'm completely off the hook for cooking for the next few days! Also, all my concerts/programs are done as of last week. It could be a lot worse!

Kindergarten teacher here - we go until June 4th. My kids are such sweethearts this year that I know I will miss them. I am struggling with some personal things right now that are making me long for summer when I can focus more on my family. Getting there!

We're done June 15 with kids (1/2 day) and then our Professional Day on the 16th. I teach a high school credit class in a middle school, so my students take final exams the week of June 8. Because I'm a foreign/world language teacher, I start the speaking portion of the exam the week of June 1--because there's no way in hell 2 hours of testing time is enough to get 30+ students to finish the written and get them through the speaking portion of the test at the same time--can you imagine the chaos? I literally have 2 more instructional days because I have to administer and end of unit speaking assessment next week which will take about 3 days for all students to record because we don't have enough mics and computers to do a class all at one time. I have a unit test to give next Friday. Because of all the interruptions I'm so behind I'm feeling quite rushed and I can't imagine how stressed I'm making the poor children in my classes!--my 6th grade students just returned from Outdoor Education...they went in 3 rotations because we have over 400 sixth grade students. I didn't see my full classes for 1.5 weeks...OMG! I'm so behind it's crazy! I'm craving a few weeks of R&R to recharge--it's been a trying year. BUT, on the plus side, PARCC testing will be limited to ONE session next year :2thumbsup:and not the soul sucking 2 sessions of pure hell it was this year. Half glass full and all!

Today was my last day with kids. It was just a half day with games, an awards assembly, and yearbook signing. Tomorrow is a half day at school and then a picnic at noon.
