And don't forget those who come to a full and complete stop before turning right onto a road with no oncoming traffic in either direction. And no stop sign.

My daughter likes to say "gosh...it's too bad there wasn't a way for you to tell us you're turning...oh wait"
I still LOL every time she says it when she's in the car with me.

That's a big pet peeve of mine. Along with the folks who merge into the freeway doing 40-45mph. Way to screw up traffic both in the on ramp and in the lane they merge into....

That is one thing that drives me crazy. It's a safety issue.

It's important you use them for pedestrians too, even when no car is behind you. If I'm waiting at a light to cross I'd like advance notice of what the car coming down the street is going to do. I could be waiting for you for no reason.

my beef is with those who put on their left turn signal and slow down but stay in the main driving lane instead of moving to the center turn lane - why do you think it is there people? ?

That lane is just for turning, not for pre-turn slowing down. It can be particularly problematic to move into a turn lane too soon if it is a shared turn lane for both sides of the street. Because then you can find yourself nose to nose with a vehicle going in the opposite direction and you'll both be blocking one another.

Also annoying, and possibly dangerous are those who put their turn signal on, better never turn it off. I was approaching a shopping center recently and the car coming the opposite way was slowing down and had their turn signal on in the direction of the entrance tot he center. So silly me, I thought he was actually going to turn there. (There was no other turn available in that direction in the general area.) So since I needed to cross the street he was on, I started to turn in front of him, since I thought he was stopping to make the turn. Nope. He wasn't turning. And I have no idea why he was slowing down so dramatically. But he was fine flipping me off for believing his turn signal. The kicker is that I typically wait when I see a car with a signal because I usually don't trust them completely, but this time the circumstances led me to actually believe his turn signal. That will teach me to trust other drivers.

DH always says............they really need to get that car into the shop and get that turn signal fixed. He especially likes it when it is a brand new car. What they heck are the doing selling brand new cars with no turn signal.
One of my pet peeves is those who sit at the green light FOREVER because the are on their phone so they don't know the light turned green. It is especially aggravating when the car in front is in the left turn lane and they notice the green arrow just as it turns yellow and they get to rush through leaving everyone else to sit and wait through another round of lights. Get off your freaking phone and pay attention. When the light is green and the person sits for 5 seconds, I am usually saying "That's the only shade of green they have". Just to clarify, I am not talking about those who wait a safe second or so to make sure nobody is running the light. These are people obviously not paying attention.

That lane is just for turning, not for pre-turn slowing down. Yes, but they turn from the left driving lane NOT from the center lane. the intent of a center lane is to turn. That is why it says that it is a center turn lane on the signs. Coming to a stop in the driving lanes causes just as much of a safety risk. I'm aware that other folks can use it, but when there is no one coming the other way at all, you come to a complete stop mid-traffic you are looking to cause an accident.

When picking options on new cars, some people just can't swing the extra expense of turn signals.

I've been behind drivers who come to a complete stop at the top of the ramp. That can be deadly behavior. If the freeway scares you that much, stick to the frontage roads! Some ramps leading to the freeway have a yield sign there and it irks me to no end when people do not yield! I may not be able to get over into another lane when I come past and then another car comes zipping off the ramp without yielding causing me to slam on my brakes. Extremely dangerous!

Because they are inconsiderate jerks. That and people that ignore the red arrow and just blow through red lights. I have had so many near misses from this.
It's legal to turn right on red here IF there isn't other traffic. Almost every day I have to avoid someone doing this when I have a green arrow. Seriously they almost hit cars everyday right by the school - they aren't going to or from the school. Drives me batty. I have a green but have to wait for one car ignoring me then almost get hit by the car behind them that had to see me pulling out and slamming on my brakes because they aren't even stopping at the red that alone yielding to those with the right of way.

my beef is with those who put on their left turn signal and slow down but stay in the main driving lane instead of moving to the center turn lane - why do you think it is there people? ? Our sheriff's dept does a "traffic law Tuesday" on FB every week and I was surprised to learn how few feet you're legally able to get into that center lane to make a left turn. I don't actually recall how much it was, but I do recall thinking to myself "gosh...that's not a whole lot of room".
So while plenty of people use it as a slow down lane for an upcoming turn, technically, they could be ticketed or worse, be involved in an accident.

I could be waiting for you for no reason. Honestly around here, I wouldn't step out in front of a car even if they had their turn signal on. I wouldn't trust them.
But then again, I also routinely see a busy intersection near the high school where kids are ALWAYS crossing and crossing with the pedestrian signals...doing everything right...and dumb drivers almost hitting them.

It's just hard to flip on the turn signal when one hand is holding my coffee cup and the other has my phone in it while I'm driving with one pinkie I can spare, or my knee. Who needs to follow the rules of the road? You can guess where I'm going. Figure it out!
J/k
I really hate dumb ass drivers.

Don't even get me started . . . too late. Yesterday, I was behind a short school bus that just pulled over. No turn signal, just swerved over. Huh? This one really pisses me off. Yield and merge are not synonyms. If it's merge, then we all come together taking turns, every other car. If it's yield, you need to WAIT until it is clear to go. Did I mention this really pisses me off. ETA: Sorry - don't know how I didn't include the quote.

I love it when people drive 20 miles with their turn signals going You must live in my area (Florida)...we have a large older population that has a predisposition toward driving slowly and with their turn signals permanently. You never really know where they are going. Driving around here is what has given me a zen-like patience. It was either that or have my blood pressure go so high that it would have made my head explode.

My vent would be about people who drive without insurance. And then run into the back of my car! The driver know the owner of the car had insurance. Cost me $500 because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I always say they must be out of blinker fluid.....(yes, I know there is no such thing, but it usually helps with the frustration!)
In TX I was taught to always use the blinker prior to slowing down. Here someone hits the brakes and then flips on the signal right before they turn.....umm, that doesn't help much either!

Especially when you have two left turn lanes and the person on the inside lane doesn't seem to understand that the person in outside lane turns into the outside lane and they turn into the inside lane..............most of the time, there are dashed lines in the road directing them and they still screw it up.

My driving instructor taught me that if there is one lane left turning into multiple lanes you get your pick of lanes to turn into. So you can legally enter the outside lane if you want to. If there are multiple turn lanes, everyone stays in their lane.
