I am good at the design of the layout. Also I tend to be very good at mixing all kinds of patterned papers together. Also journaling. Mixing different pattern papers together is my favorite part! Lesa

When I got a perfect score, I thought it was a mistake. So I took it again and lo and behold, another perfect score...I'm blind in one eye...go figure:)

Patience. I can sit and fiddle with what ever. Everything else in life I have no attention span and no patience

I've been thinking about this post since I first read it. I can't come up with anything. I know I have to be good at something. Shopping and wasting time are all I can think of. I can easily list weaknesses. Why is coming up with a strength so hard?

I can easily list weaknesses. Why is coming up with a strength so hard? That is one of the reasons I started this thread. It is so easy to point out our own weaknesses. I am trying to make a change in my life and look at the things I do well. You do have strengths! Sometimes it is difficult to acknowledge them. As I read this thread I find myself wanting to crop with you ladies. It would be so much fun to see how you pick papers, journal, and embellish.

My scrappy strength: being able to work a banner of some form or shape into every layout I do!

I'm good at matching colors. I have a good memory for color as well and can shop for specific colors easily. I wish I could steal this ability from you! Me too! I'm a good scrap-lifter. I can usually copy someone's layout exactly, but I'm also pretty good a swapping out & tweaking to make it work for me. I'm good at journaling, too. I'm quite verbose IRL and it shows up on my pages, lol.

I think mine is all about mixing patterns on the page. I love to combine four or five patterns on a layout

I would say I am pretty good at planning in advance which allows me to yield a great deal of pages at a crop. I have made a concentrated effort this year to make time for ME and crops is one way I have attempted to achieve this goal. So far so good!

I try my best at scraplifting! I haven't scrapbooked in a while, but still buy the stuff (a lot less now that our scrapbook stores have closed and I can't buy online). But I used to love scraplifting. I don't have any creativity at all!

I think I'm pretty knowledgeable of my software (I'm digi, using CS5), so I try to incorporate interesting techniques into my layouts. I think I'm good at coming up with clever titles and title designs, and I'm pretty good with digital shadows and tricks for fooling the eye. I scrap without templates, so I try my hardest to come up with unique designs for my multi-photo layouts.

I'd say my strength is for mixing it up. I love that I can do a variety of layouts styles and mix different lines. My goal is to do more with ephemera and found objects.

I think I am good at adapting sketches to work with the photos I have, mixing patterened papers, using my scraps and layering. Lots of other things that I want to get good at

This is a FANTASTIC Thread!!! I have to say, I am so surprised that I could think of several things that I believe I'm really good at. I didn't know I could say such nice things about myself! I guess there just aren't that many opportunities when someone asks me to! I am good at adding dimension/texture to my layouts (rarely have a flat page, and when I do, it feels weird!). I am good at keeping scraps with a collection and getting the most out of the collections I love! I am good at coming up with "perfect" titles (perfect for me, of course: that usually means some play on words or otherwise perfectly suits the person and/or the memory ). Finally, I am good at working through it on a layout that isn't coming together well. When I'm not loving how it's coming out, if I keep pushing through, I almost always end up with something I really love. A few times when I just couldn't get on the same continent as "good enough" I have set it aside, sometimes for months. And low and behold, the product I really needed or the idea I was waiting for pops up. I LOVE those layouts, because I know I didn't let frustration take over and ruin the experience of creating, and I didn't settle for a layout that would never make me happy when I look at it.

Honestly, I think I'm good at enjoying the process and not being stressed at all because I'm so slow scrapping. It's a joke with my friends that it takes me forever to finish a page but I don't care.

Speed. I use sketches and kits and scrap simple pages. I can get 100 pages done at a weekend crop.

I'm good at choosing colors to enhance my photos and I'm good at pulling together supplies from different collections. I like to think that my layouts showcase my photos as well.

My strengths are journaling and colour co-ordination. I'm OK with design but I start out with one vision in mind and the page ends up completely different. I'm also good at purchasing, I only buy it if I know I'll use it.
ETA - Lisa, good heavens! 100 pages in a weekend - my hat goes off to you. I'm also a (very) simple scrapper and I'd be happy getting 20 layouts done in 2 days. You're amazing.

Love this thread! I'm with all of you that are good at the shopping. Although lately, I've been good at not shopping!
I think my greatest strength is mixing papers - patterns, designers, old/new, manufacturers, etc. After picking my photos to work on, once I get the right paper combination everything else just seems to come together.

My scrappy strength is my ability to scrap nice pages quickly. I am a really fast scrapper and I love coming home from a crop with a stack of pages ready to go in the album. This! I can bang out anywhere from 80-100 pages over the course of a weekend crop and I tend to really love them. Helpful in this is that I make kits. Which brings me to my next strength. Making kits. I do it assembly line style over the course of a few dhours. First I lay out my pics , then I add embellishments, thoroughly going through my stash. If I can't find what I am looking for in my stash, I start a list of things to pick up. Finally, I add several pieces of co-ordinating cardstock, pattern paper and scraps. Bag it all up and add a sketch or layout wish to scrap lift. I can make 20-30 of these kits in one sitting.

I am great at making embellishments to use. I hardly ever have the want to sit down and scrapbook b/c I have to scrap on my bed (I don't have a craft space!), but there's always room to fiddle with making embellishments and room for them to dry on the edge of my bookcase.

Love this thread! So jealous of you ladies that can get so much done over a weekend. I'm happy with making 4 pages a day.
I would say one of my strengths is Titles/Journaling. I love to make a portion of the journaling my title and also make the title one of the focal points of my layouts. I have been thrilled in the past to receive comments regarding my titles from scrappy people I really admire. Another strength is combing product. It could be (really) old and new or various manufacturers. I wouldn't have thought of this as a strength until I saw others list it. It's another thing that I often get comments on. And lastly, I would say using color to help tell my story. Choosing what colors to use is the portion I really put the most thought into.
