Share yours. Mine is that I'm thinking about driving across town to the grocery store I shopped at before we moved, because the ones on this side of town are so inferior!

My work is having the annual department meeting this week. It's a week of mandatory "make nice" with people from out of town who don't hide the fact that they think we're idiots. Usually it's held the last week of May, and then quite a few of us take vacation the first week of June.
This year it was moved, with no notice or communication, to the first week of June. It was moved to accomodate a "team building" activity at the stadium. This requires us to change into workout clothing, go to the stadium and participate in a workout with the Texans. Now I'm sure this is with the 4th string players who will be as thrilled as me to be there. Not to mention having to wear workout clothing in front of my co-workers, and do athletic type stuff with them. Pretty much one of Duante's circles of Hell, as far as I'm concerned.
On top of all this mandatory fun, by moving the meeting to the first week of June, it pretty much guarantees that I can't take vacation with my family this summer. The way our jobs flow, the last week and the first weeks of the month are the best times to be gone. Many people take the first week of June because school ends the last week of May. Our planning season gears up by the end of June and we will be working non stop until October.
Yes I'm grateful to have a job, blah blah blah. But this sucks. If something came along that was closer to home and had better benefits, I'd be all over it.

I always shop at the store by my gym which is about 10 minutes away because our grocery stores are icky. I try not to drive over there if I just need something small but it's such a nicer experience!

I want a lazy day today. My brain is full and I want to do nothing at all. Instead I need to do laundry and work (today is just 4 hours so that makes me really happy!)

I think I'd suddenly develop a knee or back problem that prevented me from attending the thing with the Texans. That sounds awful! Maybe you should give up the corporate life and take up teaching. I know a great middle school in your area looking for a math teacher.

Found a tv-show I really liked. Bingewatched it this weekend. Now I have to wait 2 days for the next episode, and 9 days for the season finale.... I hate bingewatching, and then realizing I have to WAIT to see the end....

I had to rip up an entire knitting project last night due to a stupid mistake on my part that I couldn't fix. I've spent the last 3 weeks working on this project. So now I'm starting another project entirely. it's a shawl for a knit along, and I think in over my head because I can't figure out the first set-up row. I swear I should give this up.

My DD is sitting playing random songs on the piano and singing along with them. She has 'interpreted' two of my most favourite songs somewhat different from the originals, and I don't like it.

My husband made me a big pitcher of white sangria to sip on the deck while I read and I have to go to soccer games from 11:30-3:30 and then we are supposed to have thunderstorms for the rest of the day. There is a movie theater 3 minutes from my house and it's a location that many people (us included) drop their teens off on weekend nights to watch a movie. Last night a parent posted on the community FB page a photo of a crowded mob in the theater entryway which was the result of multiple employee call-offs, leaving no one to sell tickets. Instead, everyone was forced to buy tickets at the concession stands and the crowd in the lobby grew so large that it blocked the exits and emergency exits. DH had just dropped our son and his friends off so understandably I was upset as were many other parents who posted comments on the photo. Some yahoo came on and yelled at everyone for whining about first world problems. I don't think that counts.

I know a great middle school in your area looking for a math teacher. I think several of us may be developing vague knee pain that sadly will prevent our participation. My college roommate (MBA, CPA, CIA, CISA) left public accounting to teach algebra and loves it. It's really tempting.

I am stuck in a vicious weight plateau and it's seriously getting old and frustrating. I will NOT buy a bigger size pants. I will NOT.
I have to clean house to make it "company friendly". It's been raining for 2 months, so the floors (Even though I HAVE cleaned them) are a mess, dog hair everywhere, clutter. UGH I don't wanna.

I bought new jeans this afternoon and because they're low rise I have a little bit of 'podge' poking over the waistband, they fit great everywhere else but I'm not sure I want to keep them. I'm trying to crochet and the cat thinks it's for his benefit and keeps attacking it

Grocery shopping is a hateful enough experience; go to the one you like. We're talking 15 miles across a large city. I passed at least three just to get to the less desirable one that's a bit closer. Still, I think I'll go back there next weekend.

I get you - I live in Houston, too (well, one of the 'burbs). I gave up beating myself up about having a favorite grocery store quite some time ago. I am blessed enough to have choices and the means to pick the one I want.

The groomer left my dog's ears clipped too long. I had to trim it more myself instead of bringing him back. Same with the other dog. It was supposed to be time for their summer shave.
