Paid stupid money for a glass shower door (wholesale!!) and have spent the past 4 hours trying to get it to fit. I need 1/16" of an inch. That's it. a new piece of glass will be over $300.
First world problem solved. Door exploded on install. Sigh.
My hand is cut up, husband's foot is cut and there's 75 pounds of tempered glass in my dumpster.
I can't have anything nice.
Oh my gosh! Are you both okay?

Oh my gosh! Are you both okay? Yes. Thank you for asking. Lots of small cuts. My husband's toe was cut pretty good. We were so stupid and should have been dressed more appropriately. Lesson learned.

For the past 19 years, I've had every summer off. This year I'm working all summer (I took an adminstrative position last August) and I'm working all summer, with only a week of vacation. School ends on Wednesday, post-planning is over on Friday and I keep working

It's already too hot. Usually I can stand heat in the 80s fine, but this year I feel ready to crawl out of my skin over it. DH tried to have a family meeting discussing some things and I was a grump and did my best to cut it short because if the children didn't go to bed RIGHT THEN I was going to start stripping off my clothes in front of them.
I've lived without central air for over 16 years, it's not even June. Why is this so hard? Ugh.
Also, my favorite grocery store is 45 minutes away. We try to group up trips to other stores and throw in a date night to justify the drive, but I will full admit to doing that drive at least once a month for the major shop.

I am getting fat so tonight I decided to do something about it. I went for a 45 min walk outside and feel so much better about doing so! Now my first world problem is putting on 10+ lbs from eating too much high carb food. Time to get back to eating normally again. I don't want to keep going in the direction I have been!

I guess technically. He made it the night before to let the flavors mix. I didn't actually get any until after 4:00.

I can't seem to lose weight. In fact I'm heavier now than when I started in March. It's not my diet, it's not exercise. Maybe I'm pregnant and don't realize it (chance of that is about 0% but nothing else makes sense...)
Ugh.

My work is having the annual department meeting this week. It's a week of mandatory "make nice" with people from out of town who don't hide the fact that they think we're idiots. Usually it's held the last week of May, and then quite a few of us take vacation the first week of June. This year it was moved, with no notice or communication, to the first week of June. It was moved to accomodate a "team building" activity at the stadium. This requires us to change into workout clothing, go to the stadium and participate in a workout with the Texans. Now I'm sure this is with the 4th string players who will be as thrilled as me to be there. Not to mention having to wear workout clothing in front of my co-workers, and do athletic type stuff with them. Pretty much one of Duante's circles of Hell, as far as I'm concerned. On top of all this mandatory fun, by moving the meeting to the first week of June, it pretty much guarantees that I can't take vacation with my family this summer. The way our jobs flow, the last week and the first weeks of the month are the best times to be gone. Many people take the first week of June because school ends the last week of May. Our planning season gears up by the end of June and we will be working non stop until October. Yes I'm grateful to have a job, blah blah blah. But this sucks. If something came along that was closer to home and had better benefits, I'd be all over it. I think I'd suddenly develop a knee or back problem that prevented me from attending the thing with the Texans. That sounds awful! Maybe you should give up the corporate life and take up teaching. I know a great middle school in your area looking for a math teacher. Or you could work with me I'm in GWP and have great benefits!

My first world problem is I must have enough extra time to imagine myself in utmr 's first world problem- instead of moving on and solving my own dilema.. Which part is worse? Team building, Houston humidity in the summer, workout clothes at work, working out with colleagues, working out with a pro football team... All of the above!!!!

I'll come back tomorrow with an update on the team building. After talking to my coworkers today, I'm not the only one apprehensive about it, so that's good. Maybe I'm just making a mountain out of a molehill, and it'll be great.

I'm losing weight and shrinking out of favourite clothes. I'm sad (and happy) about that.

Last night's gusts of wind blew the panels out of my little greenhouse. Again. Damnation. They are so difficult to put back in place. I broke a fingernail last time.

My 1st world problem is that I have a million tv channels and NOTHING is on tv! This^^^ Isn't that the worst? Also, no "free" movies on any of my premium channels. WTH? They're offering super old movies! I actually watched "Vampire Academy" yesterday because I couldn't find anything to watch (which wasn't too bad). LOL

My sad 1st world problem is that our Roomba (I call him Robot - he's a programmable roving vacuum) sometimes doesn't vacuum and just re-docks himself after 5 minutes or I find him stranded in the middle of the room without re-docking himself. I have to pick him up and re-dock him manually. Can you imagine? LOL Robot is scheduled to clean everyday at 5pm before we get home from work. Yes, we are super lazy and don't actually want to vacuum with a real vacuum. Haha!! Btw, if you don't have a Roomba - we love ours.

When I wake up at 5 am I think I "need" to get out of bed and go make coffee. I don't need to get out of bed at all until 8 am. The thing is, if I don't make coffee it doesn't get made. Then what will I drink? Life will be a mess.

I need to go to the chiro for an adjustment but he is gone between 11:00-2:00 EVERY DAY for lunch. I can't get DD dressed and out the door fast enough to get there before 11:00 so now I'll have to wait until after 2:00, and by then I'll be busy with other stuff and won't want to go.
I don't understand why it should take a little kid half an hour to find some clothes and get dressed, but if I pick something for her she will veto every outfit I choose. Life was so much easier before she had an opinion on everything!
