Crotchfruit. I have never heard that before. I was reading the local police department's FB page. A 16 year old died because he fell through the roof of an old abandoned school. Someone posted wanting to know where the boy's parents were. Another person replied that he should give the parents a break because he would be sad if his crotchfruit died too. Good grief just when I thought I'd heard everything.

Jeez. The term is bad enough in and of itself. But to use it in reference to a kid who lost his life accidentally, even if it was because he did something dumb ... so unkind. Actually, sort of sociopathic if you ask me.
Mean people suck!

Why do some people feel the need to think up new terms for things that already exist? Sad for the whole situation. What would the parents be? A crotch-tree? Would've been better to be crotch-free in this case.

Under the right circumstance I'd find it funny, but as you described its just poor taste. I have referred to my dd as my loin fruit for the last 10 years.

I've heard that one before. On the old 2peas there was a thread about a child hating message board someone belonged to where they would refer to parents as breeders and their children as crotchfruit or crotchmaggots, I think? Pretty twisted.

Glad I'm not the only one who'd never heard of it and thought it was disgusting. Seems that a bunch of kids were on top of this old school jumping up and down on the guard covering a busted out skylight. The guard gave way and the kid fell through. Sad situation for sure but then again what the hell were they thinking?

After reading the definition (I will post below) I'd like to punch that person in the throat! Seriously, disrespectful! crotch fruit An obscenely obnoxious young child who can't seem to behave in any place, at any time. Typically has clueless progenitors who are too busy getting drunk and socializing to watch their children. The bane of waitstaff and service personnel everywhere. "That little crotch fruit almost made me drop my tray!" "Ma'am, please keep your crotch fruit away from the knives in the kitchen section."

That is a pretty obnoxious definition.

Yes, disgusting -- and particularly in that context.
My step daughter likes calling children crotch goblins, equally disgusting. She isn't interested in birthing any goblins herself.
