My DD and grandsons will be here for dinner I just put some pork ribs in the oven to cook low and slow. When they're done I'll finish them off on the grill and baste BBQ sauce on them. I'm going to bake some potatoes and make some broccoli, cauliflower and celery I bought at the store today. I'll sauté them in olive oil with garlic, onion, salt and pepper. I may add some red pepper flakes or a chili infused olive oil I like. As soon as I get off my ass I'm going to make Rice Krispie treats What are you planning for tonight?

We are having fish sticks, corn cake, and strawberries.
The corn cake is from a Chi Chi's mix with minimal ingredients and you add water, butter, and a can of creamed corn.
Only the corn cake and strawberries for me...I'm gluten free : (

It's been raining most of the morning so I'm pretty sure DS's t-ball game will be cancelled.. So we're going to have a living room picnic/movie night. I plan on making cheese quesadillas for the kids and steak fajita ones for Dh and I. I'll make some Spanish rice to go with them.

It was salad here. The family and my sister were over for dinner so it was a platter of continental meats, one of various hams and beefs, mini Melton Mowbray pies, cooked chicken in chilli sauce. hard boiled eggs, coleslaw, potato salad, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions, radishes, grated Wensleydale cheese, mixed salad leaves and crusty bread and butter. Yum! Everyone just helps themselves and the only preparation is opening various packets and putting everything in bowls/on plates. Great after a day at work.

It's meatless Monday at our house. We'll be having broccoli pancakes, squash casserole (leftover), and another side.

I just started spaghetti. I was going to make something else, but decided at the last minute that I wanted spaghetti. I am a happy mommy today-I got a letter from boot camp boy this afternoon. A real, handwritten LETTER. It was pretty funny and I see that my boy has gotten lazy from using spell check too often. He is having a bit of an adjustment period. Anyway, spaghetti is his most requested dinner, so in his honor that's what is for dinner tonight. (We also got the information for his boot camp graduation dates-we had the hotel room reserved within about 10 minutes. I am pretty excited. LOL)

Take out pizza here tonight. My 16 year old son and I are the only ones home and I just didn't have it in me to make supper.

Last night's meal was moved to this evening and it is Chicken Florentine Pasta. So, last night I made breaded chicken tenders, steamed rice and spinach.

We had teriyaki grilled chicken, a baked potato and roasted Brocolli and cauliflower. I made lemon bars from a mix, Krusteaz or some name like that. Anyway the lemon bars are really good.

After school we went to the park and played with some of the other kindergarteners. When I finally dragged him away from that, we went downtown to run some errands. While there, I suddenly remembered I had a Groupon for the pizza place downtown. So all that to say ... we picked up pizza and salad and ate an early dinner when we got home. And as soon as we finished eating, my stepmother called to ask if we wanted to go out for dinner. So now we're going to meet her at the Cheesecake Factory for dessert instead. I've never been there before.

I plan on making cheese quesadillas for the kids and steak fajita ones for Dh and I. I'll make some Spanish rice to go with them. We used to have living room picnics all the time when DS was little. We lost our playoff game today, ending the season. Ds had to say goodbye to the last of his little league teammates who graduated this year (the rest graduated last year). Very emotional, plus i think it really brought home for ds that he is a senior in 3 more days. Anyway, for dinner we had grilled kielbasa on buns, mexicali dip and tortilla chips and some pasta salad.

I am eating beer can chicken at the standard diner in route 66 in albuquerque. We couldn't figure out where to go and this place popped up as being on Diners drive in and dives back in 2008 so we figured we'd try iy.

I've got a month and a half to purge, pack and move to my new home. I kinda got carried away cleaning out the upstairs closets I didn't realize it was dinner time! Husband came home, took one look at me and said he'd take care of dinner. He grilled some rib eyes, asparagus and I made home made paprika fries. Love that man!

My boys and ate out at a local Mexican restaurant at lunch time. I had a yummy shrimp fajita quesadilla, cheese dip and chips. So for dinner we had sandwiches. Something light after a big lunch.
