I spent the last two weekends cleaning/organizing my scrapbook room. I had a great time, got rid of tons of stuff that I don't use and/or love and organized everything else that I love in cute containers. Found lots of treasures I forgot I had. Got a bit chagrined at how many duplicate items I had. 'Spent too much time looking at and pawing through my beautiful stuff, like washi tape. I am here to confess: I have probably 50+ rolls of beautiful washi tape... and haven't used it on a single layout yet... But it looks so pretty all snuggled in it's basket! Scrapbook shopping.... it's kind of a sickness!

Yep agree about the 'sickness'!

I agree with you The thing that has helped me is that I'm lucky I can buy and then donate to the 4-H club/kids when I see I'm not using things! I know, doesn't fix my shopping problem, but it does help And yes, I have yet to use washi on a layout and rarely use it on cards. So it was the perfect thing to give the kids when they were making their Mother's Day cards

The washi will look beautiful on your layouts too, and if you use some, you'll feel justified when you purchase more, thus no more 'sickness'. --well, not everyone would buy that logic, but I definitely would.

Washi tape is great for blocking out days in your planner! I use it to block out the days when I'm taking a trip. It looks so pretty in my planner.

I love washi tape also and especially loved the shopping for it! I've recently decided I've had enough of it just sitting there not being useful so I've been using it instead of regular tape for things like wrapping gifts. Just this week I used some to hang streamers and balloons in the house for a party

Make banners out of them or put them toothpicks or paper clips. Hit up Pinterest. Cute ideas.

I made scrapbooks for my kids at school. I made 25 of them and used up a lot of washi tape.

Oh, I've used Washi tape for plenty of things.... decorated my planner, cards and various home decor items.... 'just never used it for what I bought it for: layouts! Okay, y'all have inspired me... I'll have to try some on a scrapbook page this weekend.

It's been said before and will be said again: scrapbooking is as much about collecting all the yummy goodies as it is about the actual scrapping. Washi on, honey!

I get a lot of use out of my washi. I use it to tape my paper to the die cut or embossing folder so it doesn't move around. I use washi to tape the corners of my card to my work mat so it doesn't move around while I'm stamping. I use my washi to tape my paper onto my now unsticky Cricut mat. Now if I could just get it as a design element on a finished project!

I certainly don't have 50 rolls but I do love washi tape. I use it on almost every layout now. It's especially useful for covering up "raw" edges of layered paper. I also love using it for little banners or flags. Once you jump in and start using it you will be hooked!

Wash? Oh that tape? Yeah that. I had to get the WRMK washi holder because I needed to put my stash somewhere. I have a very good selection of washi. I just wish I knew where all of it went.

I currently have a strip of washi on my sewing machine as a guide for the edge of my fabric! Me too! I love washi and use it for many of the things mentioned here already.... hanging decorations, labeling boxes in my scrapbooking room, labelling the cubbies of my storage pieces, decorating the edges of my planner, using for organization/division in my planner and calendar, temporarily adhering table cloths, drop cloths, on outgoing mail... it's awesome stuff!!

We are home today (kids have a PA day) and the kids were crafting. They've used washi to tape mandalas to the table and are making faux stained glass on waxed paper. The washi is a great help!

It's a good thing to get a little organizing done
So far my petite washi collection fits in two little baskets, but I'm working on it lol....
I started using it and now I have more than 100 rolls. Whew! That's awesome!

I love washi, too! I let my 3 yr old play with some of the HUGE rolls. He loves to tear and tape it all over the place and I don't care b/c it comes right off. And it keeps him busy for a good half hour so that I can get something scrappy done in there

I currently have a strip of washi on my sewing machine as a guide for the edge of my fabric! So do I! So much prettier than when I used to do it with masking tape! Of course, this is one of the roles that I picked up inexpensively on one of the deal sites!

I kind of wish I hadn't discovered washi tape. I made a bunch of Thank You cards and used some silver washi tape. I kept a copy of mine and the washi tape is peeling off. So now I use my ATG and put some of that down and the washi tape over it. Kind of beats the purpose of the washi "tape".

I've never had that happen on a page that I've made but I wouldn't worry about it....my guess is that anyone who has keep the card won't think badly about it if some time has passed. Do you think this has just happened with the one particular brand?

Do you think this has just happened with the one particular brand? It's the Recollections brand from Michael's. I made cassette tape players for the "Footloose the Musical" cast for the play my husband directed. I had used a bit of silver washi tape on it. I've got other brands and they seem sticker. I'm just being cautious now.

I bet that's it OntarioScrapper ....some Recollections stuff is great and other stuff I avoid. I'm not a fan of their patterned paper but don't mind their cardstock for some things!

I use washi tape for everything! It's great for hanging the kids artwork up because when I take it down it doesn't stick to the surface. I use it to seal envelopes, for the kids' projects, and of course on my scrapbook and PL pages. I probably have 200+ rolls.... But I love them and they're so inexpensive!

So if any of you want to contain your washi stash, i posted my storage idea of it from several years ago. The black and white tape is covering up the bottoms of two saw blades. I use it for a tape dispenser. I have outgrown this one container (there are four rows) and am on a second container. cdn.scrapbook.com/gallery/source/39/399295/TapeDispenser.jpg
