I scrap in chronological order and do 1 album for every year. Normally they include at least 1 trip, my dogs, and anything fun me and my DH do. I also try and make sure I get a few pages for my family and his. This year Im adding a "popular in 2015" page kind of like a yearbook, the songs we love, movies we watched, etc. I think that will be fun to look back on one day.
If we have kids I can see falling behind trying to scrap chronically because there will be so many more pictures and events to capture, I may have to change my style at that time!
I also have 2 side albums going on, 1 for me and my mom over they years and 1 heritage album.
Im glad you started scrapping again! Would a new class inspire you? Im curious as to what "CM" is? Creative Memories?

I scrap mostly vacations, My DS school stuff, and Boy Scout activities. Oh, and the cats, every now and then they get a layout. I will go fairly long stretches without scrapping so I'm not in danger of getting caught up at the moment.

I am on my fourth year of weekly project life.
I keep kind of chronological 12*12 family albums in addition.
I do a yearly Week in the Life and December Daily.
I keep scrapbooks for each of my kids.
I do action albums for, well, vacations.

I make mini albums because I like the albums in a small size. they are no easier than the big albums but they are fun to me because of the smaller size.

Well, I feel like I'm digging up an old thread but it's a good topic!
We do not have children, so I scrap for me and BF so that when we are old and grey together we can look back on all the stuff we've done. I mix 12x12 and pocket pages in my albums, and I usually do 2 per year. Plus an extra one for a holiday if we go away. I've done December Daily the last few years and I'm really enjoying the 6x8 size for smaller albums.
One thing I am starting to pick up on is themes throughout my albums, and I'm pondering a sort of nature journal/scrapbook as we spend a lot of time outdoors and I want to record what we see, and when we see it type stuff. Not sure yet.
I've lost both my grandparents in the last few years and I treasure every page that I did with them on. Memories written down like that are very special.

I posted on this topic previously, but since then I've had the chance to go through a bunch of my mom's photos and I discovered some pretty wild things that I've added to my "I really want to scrap that!" list.
I found some candid pics of my parents from a trip they had taken early in their marriage (before EIGHT kids came along!) to South Dakota. They never went on vacations once they had us, and where they went has changed dramatically since they were there in the early 1950's so just those two points make it an interesting subject to me.
Another thing I noticed is that one of my nephews is a dead ringer for one of my uncles! If you put photos of them at the same age next to each other and cropped out the clothing, you would be hard pressed to tell that they aren't the same kid! It's something I never noticed before and the resemblance between the two is really almost creepy. It's stuff like that that really strikes me and makes me want to scrapbook.

I think what we scrap and why is an evolving subject anyway so it's good to see how your to do list has changed in such a short space of time.
After my initial post I've been motivated to go back through some of the classes I've bought but have often not finished. It's given me a whole new lease of life on story telling especially as I look at the types of stories that are missing.

That's a very good idea. I have a few classes that I should revisit.

I scrap to document my children's lives. I used to scrap in chrono order. I stopped scrapping when my second child came along. I picked it back up some years later and managed to get his first year completed then stopped again. When I picked it back up again I decided to scrap backwards to change things up. That worked for awhile then I took another break. So fast forward about 4 years I now have two gaps to fill in. I felt so stressed and overwhelmed by how far behind I am. I decided to only scrap important events. I'm all caught up on B-days, Halloween, my daughters sports and Hanukkah. I'm currently working on all fair pictures. My next project will be all the first day of school pictures. My table is the perfect size to scrap multiple pages at the same time. It holds 21 layouts so can work on both kids together.
