Should I reply to her post and ask her to explain...or do I ignore her comment?

How do they know? Admittedly I've not been to Starbucks a lot but the few times I've gone no one has questioned me beyond what do I want to drink and do I want a pastry with that... how do you tell a conservative based on their drink?

Ha! Make sure you tell her to steer clear of Target, too. They have a Starbucks in their stores so must also hate conservatives as well.

She would totally flip her shit if she realized that I've supported equality for more than a decade.

That's when I type out a response, then take a deep breath and delete. It's just not worth arguing with crazy. Like you said, "block"! Covers half my deep south relatives. Also, political season is beginning, so I'm blocking left and right - of BOTH political affiliations. I just don't want to hear it.

Puh-leeze. I would ask her what proof she has of that. If it's just that they support liberal causes, I mean, c'mon. They were founded in Seattle.
Everyone has their convictions about different causes, and I think that if a business supports something that you're truly against, it makes sense not to give them your money. I won't support businesses that support planned parenthood if it comes to my attention that they do. It's a personal conviction that I have. But "hating conservatives"? Spare me.
Half of the country believes differently than I do, enough to vote Democrat. Am I supposed to boycott all of their businesses? No, they're not the enemy. They're fellow Americans who have differing convictions than me.
Now me? I don't go to Starbucks because I don't like coffee, even doctored to the hilt.

I don't really think of marriage equality as a liberal/conservative issue at this point.

I always go to SNOPES for this kind of nonsense from my fellow conservative friends and my liberal friends. This is not an exclusive problem to either "side" unfortunately.

Some people just aren't happy unless they're feeling persecuted. I know several people like that. If they are FB friends I block them. Anybody else I walk away if I can. So not worth it for my health.

I am a middle road consertive Christian and I completely support equal rights. I totally agree with your thoughts on differing beliefs etc, we are all entitled to our beliefs - even those opposite our own. I don't feel unwelcome or anything at starbucks or anywhere else lol... I do agree that many of us speak with our dollars for various reasons, and that's ok, its a personal choice. I also agree with you on not supporting businesses that support planned parenthood- personal conviction here too. I love coffee, but rarely splurge on coffee out anyway, and I when I do I support a local coffee house most often. Sometimes hit Starbucks at school or when travelling - and I don't see anyone so far to change that.

Starbucks hates conservatives? ? I thought starbucks was run by closet conservatives. I mean they talk politically correct but the actions aren't all there. For example look at where the DONT put starbucks stores, certainly if they were liberal then there would be more Starbucks stores in diverse areas. Eta and I am Kidding I forgot

Haters undoubtedly are going to hate...hate..hate...hate...hate...hate.
It is recommended that you shake it off...
...but not while holding hot coffee.

I don't care if Starbucks hates me or not as long as they sell me the freakin MochaGottaHaveItNow when I go in with my money and order it. I'd be SO tempted to tell her I couldn't care less who she boycotts, but to let me know when places start boycotting her.

She'd be getting Starbucks gift cards from me for every occasion going forward... 'cause I'm snarky like that.

I don't do Starbuck 'cause I can't speak the lingo. And I don't like coffee.
I think if most people took the time to investigate their information before passing it off as truth, the world would be a lot less crazy. I have become quite cynical for both sides of the party. I believe about 10% of what I read online. The thing I agree with the most though are e-cards. Those are awesome.
