My main email address is pristine - I am kind of OCD. But, the email address I had forgotten about and finally remembered on Thursday? 1287. It is the address I use when I subscribe and I have to tell ya - Wayfair, LinkedIn and Joss and Main send out a LOT of daily emails.

I have three email accounts. The work, the shop and the pristine private.
Over holiday, work is about at 35, won't answer until work hours. Shop is well who cares. Usually delete all when I get to it and private is zero as they are dealt with immediately.

My personal email is not too bad, 9500ish. It was 11,000ish before I started deleting old emails. Guess I need to delete more. ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I have 2 gmail accounts and one work account. There are less than 5 in each. Not unread, total.
I'm incredibly OCD about my inboxes. I treat them like literal inboxes. I only keep messages in there that I have to do something with. Once I'm done with each message, I either delete them or file them in a folder. I've done it this way since my first email account, so it's just second nature to me.
DH makes fun of me for it...

I cannot read this thread, it will give me hives. If an email is in my inbox, it is because something needs to be done with it.
In my personal inbox, I have 0 unread and 3 total. When we were moving and dealing with utilities and stuff, I think it got up to 30 or so and that was rough.
For work, I have 81, but they are categorized into 4 different projects/follow-up categories and then the "new incoming," which are things that just came in or are one-off that need attention. I have 14 read and 1 unread in the new incoming. I was off Wed - Fri so that's a little more than usual. I'll knock it out in the morning.
Disorganized email is a pet-peeve for me, particularly at work. I coach some of our team members who are struggling and I always get them running their Outlook/email using my method - and all of them have told me it has changed their work life and made them feel so much more in control. Even the one that was really resistant to it. That is always very rewarding for me!

Unread? Just 3. I get ITCHY and really flustered if email sits. I run a business though so un-answered e-mails mean potentially losing clients. The SPAM I just mass-delete each morning. I actually just spent some time hitting Unsubscribe on a few dozen e-mail links. Hoping that helps clear up some of the junk. It did when I did it for one account recently. I feel so much more free! ![:cheer:](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/tlEjEu6lJ7JqxYH6fLO8.jpg)

0 in my home email (that DH and I share) and 0 unread in my business email inbox.
I do have about 15-20 read emails in my home inbox, and probably 20-30 unread in the business inbox. The rest I have read and want to keep are filed away in files. Mostly on the business email though. I have files set up for various categories (wedding orders, Chamber of Commerce info, radio station info) and I file emails in them as soon as they are dealt with. My inbox holds emails I am currently needing in plain sight so I remember to deal with them!
My delete file? It has over 5000 unread emails - mostly the ones I delete from the inbox before fully reading them!
