R there any STL Peas on this board ??

I asked this question on the old board--but need some further information.

Might be moving to STL for a new job, waiting to hear hopefully this week. I started to look on Craig's list today for a sublet just until I get my feet wet.

I saw a lot for North St. Louis, it doesn't look like a good area, are my instincts correct??

My ideal area would be the St. Charles area but I didn't really see anything that I could afford. We still have a place in Chicago that we need to pay for DH is going to stay here. I just need a crash pad.
