So how do you store your scrap paper and scrap embellishments??? I'm no help with the scrap paper...it goes in a bin! Pieces from paper pads (either 12 x 12 or 6 x 6) stay in the front of those pads if I think they are large enough that they are likely to get used with that collection. i also have a few different things that hold embellishments like washi is on a two tiered cake tray, flair is an urn, etc. but my favourite is all the random bits that are in a box similar to an iris case but with dividers. So much fun to look through!

All my paper scraps go in two drawers beside by desk - one for patterns and one for solids. I just rifle through when I'm looking for something that will work. I only have half a dozen 6x6 pads so I keep those in with my patterned scraps as well.
Just recently I've started throwing small non themed embellishments into a dish on my desk when they've been left over from a project. So while a travel set of stickers will go back in with my other travel stuff, the punched shapes, die cuts, stickers, etc go into the dish. I then look through these first for my next project.

I had thought of purchasing a 2-drawer recollection cube for a few things and was didn't think I needed a 2nd which would mean my cube section would be off. But 2 of them would make it even on both sides of the desk. Although they would be taller than my standing scrap desk, but it would only be a few inches and would probably be better for my ink caddy that sits on top. hmmmm - I have to think about this now. Thanks for the idea!!

I had forgotten to post this challenge. So here goes: The scraps I used were the yellow, anchor, and penant papers. My most recent purchase was the white background paper with the big blue anchor printed on it. Not sure if the red, white nylon rope is considered ribbon but that's all I could find in my stash of small pieces. I used red ink to outline some of the anchors on the paper to give it some color. and used my cricut machine to cut the small life saver on the top.

I love the clean bold feel of this - it works perfectly with the photo. The red and white rope is the perfect substitute for ribbon here, it's so nautical. Great page - tfs.

bklyngal62, Lovely page. I really like all of the nautical themed elements you've incorporated on the layout. The design draws the eye directly to the photo. The pennant is really nice too. TFS.
