Not my thing at all, and I really don't like the one with the church background.

I love cowbow boots with everything - skirts, shorts, men's suits and tuxes. I've not seen them with formal dress but cute. But then I'm in Texas so what would you expect?

The boots don't bother me, but the booty shot just isn't classy.
I'm all for a fun pic, maybe hiking the dress up a bit to show the leg, or ankle just for the bride to keep and maybe giving the bridesmaids one in a cute frame...but full on butt cheek is a bit much.

For a country style or western style wedding, I don't have a problem with the boots. But talk about "showing your ass!" Yeah, definitely tacky!!

At first I thought it was just one random photo done as a joke, but then I clicked on the link. I'm really hoping this is not a trend. It's just so tacky.

Why? Just why? I thought it tacky when britney spears got married they had their people wear sweat suits with hoes and pimps on the back after the wedding, but this takes the cake. I think these people sits around and think up stuff to shock little ol biddies like me.

I had all of my nieces as my bridesmaids - it would not have only been tacky but really uncomfortable and inappropriate!
I think we need a better trend than this.

And I thought the wedding I went to last month where the entire wedding party had guns in holsters was tacky, I think this takes the tacky prize. (and of course they were also all in cowboy boots, not in Texas either)
During the wedding I was at, when the preacher asked if anyone objected, they all took out their guns. WTF!

I love the boots!
This thread reminds me of an incredibly tacky wedding photo that my mom showed me... it was her friend's daughter's wedding... and one of the "formal" wedding party shots had all the bridesmaids sitting on a log on a beach, and the men standing behind them. In the photo, the bride was turned around (so facing the groom), and bent over, so it looked like she was performing oral sex on him! While the wedding party all watched! OMG. So freaking tacky.

Wow, not something I would want in my albums, perky butt or not! Thankfully, I don't think my SIL will be taking that kind of shot with her sister, mom and myself as her bridesmaids this coming October!

No. No. No. Although I am impressed none of those women need Spanx. If I was in the picture I'd look like a grandma with my girdle. That and that.

Can't anything be somewhat dignified and elegant anymore? I understand lighthearted moments...but good grief! My bridesmaids would've thought the aliens abducted me if I suggested such a thing! Sadly it seems the answer to this is no

Oh my gosh! This is so inappropriate for a wedding photo! A porn shoot yeah, maybe I don't know about that since I don't watch porn. But wedding photography? Looks like I switched from wedding photography to commercial photography just in time since I no longer do weddings. Whew! Let's hope this trend dies an early death.

Sorry for multiple posts - I don't know how to put 2 quotes into the same reply.
So at least one of the bride's parent's isn't dead. 'Cause both mine would have to be for them to have allowed that kind of photo. That's just vile.

I don't get the appeal. Sure, a lot of them have great asses, but it doesn't mean a wedding photo is the right place to show it off. I mean, are the bride and groom going to display this photo in their new home? I don't think so.

I know it is 17 years later and the marriage only lasted 16 years, but I need to get my bridesmaids back together to take the butt shot.

the bride and bridesmaids completely bare pic is actually from a porn. saw that mentioned in the comments the other day, I didn't know it on my own. personally I love the boots with dress thing, but then I live in a somewhat country area. love a reception in a barn and bridal party in boots! Sure you did.... lol No seriously. What the what? ? God forbid that trend transcends to the groomsman.....
