Well, as mentioned before, I am crap at staying in the freezer. I was at Tuesday Morning with DD and they had Cosmo Cricket's TV Dinner line, which I love and had dispaired of ever finding. But I do have to give myself credit because that is all I bought even though they had some other Cosmo Cricket stuff that I really wanted. And with CC seeming to fade away, I feel like I need to stock up before they are no more...always one of my favorites.

I've was frozen for a while but thawed recently to get a few new embellishments and a couple of PL card dies. Right now I'm using my stash to make my own PL cards and have been using up my stickers to decorate them. I am caving and going to the rubber stamp expo next week with a strict budget. There are a couple of images I'd really like to have. Then it's back in the freezer for a while.

I purged 4 inches of patterned paper this afternoon and it felt awesome! Still de-stashing and going to donate it all. I'm really hoping after this massive organization/pair down all my stash will fit in the smaller space I have now since moving!

New rule for me... No TJ Maxx or Tuesday Morning (oh, it hurts to say that) for at least 3 months, until I'm stronger. Also, no more looking on line, again, until I feel a bit stronger. I have to break the "addiction".

Stay strong, Frozen Peas! Those $1.99 Thickers are more addictive than caffeine! My freeze starts tomorrow-I'm going to do the completed projects = earned shopping again. I need the shiny prize at the end to stay motivated.

But after that, I need to be frozen again

I'm frozen and hope to stay that way for awhile. I have purged some stuff as well and donated. Still looking into going through more things and donating it as well. I'm determined not to hoard things anymore and use up what I have.

So, a question for all you frozen peas. Shopping, for me, has been the thing I do when I don't know what else to do. How do you get past that being your "default' activity?

I've been partially frozen for a couple of years (only purchase staples like adhesive and blades and page protectors).

Scrapperdee, That is a lot of willpower.
I feel back out of the freezer - seems I didn't get the shopping bug out of system when I thawed. I am back in until I complete 20 projects.
Dulcemama, I scrap instead of shop or garden or read or write. Find something to replace the shopping activity. Although that didn't work for me yesterday. I had to take my son to a party that was right by Michael's and Joann's. I slipped.

Dulcemama-this is SOOO HARD for me too! I'll shop when I'm by myself (when DS is at his dad's), when I'm stressed, etc. I considered shopping a hobby in and of itself for sooo many years. Now I try to do things around the house, or use the things I currently have to try something new. For example, I've been pinning different make-up looks and using the make-up I have to try different techniques. I'm also trying to reduce the amount of gluten I consume, so I'm been researching and trying new recipes. I put more exercise in my day too. I've been making seasonal wreaths from my collection of fabric scraps to keep busy and stay crafty. Finally, I challenge myself to use my stash. I have some really great collections that I need to use and enjoy.

Hard for me too Dulcemama because I love to shop! I'm trying to do less online surfing and more actual crafting plus reading more, knitting, trying out new recipes etc.

I'm jumping in the freezer. My goal being to stay in until August 1, when I will reassess if I need more embellishments, adhesive, or page protectors. If I am still well supplied enough, I will stay in another month, and then assess again September 1.
I don't have many supplies, but the last few weeks I've suddenly discovered A c moore's clearance end caps, and walmarts Studio G for 97 cents, and the $2.99 6x6 paper packs at ACM, and the clearance section at Michael's and I feel like I need to start using the stuff I have before buying more.
But..... I have been actively scrapping, at least.
It is a rush to shop, and get good deals, though. I think shopping is half the fun of scrapping.

I just ordered a kit from Papertrey Ink and now I'm jumping back in the freezer. My aim is to stay frozen til the end of the year (apart from adhesives). I'm saving for a vacation and stuff needs doing around the house so I need to be disciplined!

Regardless of how you feel about Hobby Lobby, I was driving minding my own business in my town and what do I see......"HOBBY LOBBY OPENING SOON". All I could do is gasp. You know I HAD to go Scope out the possibilities of where they could set up shop. I texted "danger, danger" to my other frozen friends. They are not going to make it easy on us.

So happy to see this thread out here! I wasn't frozen but I have really cut back on shopping since all of you inspired me so much! I may now need to be frozen with job changes here...which will also mean less time to scrap most likely and I never feel like I have enough time now!
Happy to see so many familiar names and faces here though...even if you may not remember me since I wasn't frozen.

The closest one to me is in New Haven or Warwick RI. Both over an hour away! This store is dangerous!!
