Hello Pascoe...Very hot here now and the heat index today will be around 100 and Sunday over 100...so the air will be very hard to breath...I will be staying in all day...bad enough with 90 degree weather but throw in that heat index...I do not handle hot humid air well.
I hope to get my water colors up here ( we have a split level home) and try my hand with watercolor back ground and stamping on top of that.
My husband and son are back in Connecticut for a reunion and to put a grave marker on our baby's grave, some how it makes it official that Eric is really gone and when the guy who designs it sent a tentative drawn out layout of it yesterday it got to me seeing his name on it.

Last night was so bad in humidity and the air was hard to breath, talk about taking your breath away certainly has meaning...lol
Got most of what I need upstairs to try and watercolor a card...the only real thing stopping me...is me...

Good morning,
We are fine here and having sunshine more then rain...but it is humid.
We have been busy as well,last week our son and hubby went back to Connecticut for a reunion and also went to see about a stone marker for our baby, he is buried there. Eric was a full term baby and when he was born he had a heart defect and died 2 days later. That was in 1973.
We did have a nice Saturday evening with the our daughters and their families with a cookout.
I hope you are all doing well and baking me some goodies...lol...like I need goodies ...

Hi gailoh I'm sorry to learn about Eric and I hope that the stone marker for Eric is not too long in happening. I baked some. Flapjacks with sour cherries and raisins and I was given an icrecream maker that needed a spare part, which arrived today so I've just made my first batch of vanilla ice cream. It's still raining here today ugh, but they have said it will brighten up later this week. I'm glad you had a nice weekend with your family and the cookout sounds fun  |

BTT Yummy....ice cream....I am coming over in a row boat... Yesterday was not bad but humid and we did have a quick shower go thru here but today 90 and heat index is going to bring that higher... Today I do not have to go anywhere...yea me... You sound like a great cook by the way. My hubby is a meat and potato man and me I like variety and our son will try things different as well. I have yet to try watercoloring but I do have all the supplies but my brain power to create a little card (or a mess) Hope you are having a good day over there ...looks like it is around 1:30 now your time... As for the stone the man ( John ) in Connecticut who we are dealing with did get back with me and he found a cover in silver for Eric's picture that we want on the stone as well, so when he gets back with me we will finalize the purchase and it will be made and set. It is a long time coming and at our age we had to get this done. It is hard, it makes it more real in my mind that he is gone. I don't know if you know what I am meaning but when he sent me a drawing of what the stone and what we wanted on it ...it make it real to me...final...and yes I did cry at seeing this...he would be 42 now but will always be my baby...he was over 8 pounds and light reddish blond hair...so sweet. HI Gail Thanks for sharing Eric' story, it was thoughtful of you to do that. He will always be your baby, and I understand what you mean about it makes it more real  I've been looking out for your rowing boat, there's a slice of lemon meringue pie here with your name on It's been a busy couple of weeks for me and it will hopefully slow down by the 8th August, fingers crossed. I'm waiting for a call from the hospital today, to sort out a problem with a change in my medication, that my local doctor has not received so he will not prescribe the new medication for me. Hopefully it will get resolved today. It's cold, and showery here today, so I'm popping out to do some errands in a moment, I've a few birthday cards to post soI'd better remember to take them with me. BTT...make certain your animals have plenty of fresh cool water in clean bowls....
Sometime I will tell you another part of the story of our baby, it also has to do with my little dog Cho we had at the time...
Very humid and today will be the worst of it with the heat index ....I am jealous with you having the cooler temps over there. Just wondering do you get much snow in winter?
Hope you get the meds you need, hate it when things change around and we are the ones who wait...I have high blood pressure and take 6 a day ...that is around the clock ,I space them out in a 24 hr. period but it is really nice that they do the job and I feel so much better.
With all the cooking you do, well my weight would be worse then it is now from all the delicious cooking like you do...I am so overweight now and have a sweet tooth and you would fill that up for me in know time...lol

Morning Gail We have blue skies this morning - yippee . We don tend to get much snow in the part of the UK where I live. The info was faxed to the doctor so hopefully I can collect the prescription later today or tomorrow. I'm glad your meds make you feel better I'd love to hear more about Eric when you're ready to share I'm taking mum (87) to see her doctor for INR testing this morning so it's an early start for me. I've a few more cookery classes booked over the next two weeks, then after that I'm buckling down as I need to lose weight - about 30lb Have a good day |

Yes it is a loyal kind of event with my going into labor and my sweet little Cho Cho...
We are to have a hot day but just a tad less humidity but I went out this morning maybe a bit less but not by much...
Really hope they get your meds going for you soon and hope your mum does well with her doctor visit,please give my regards to her as well.
As for te weight , I need to lose 40 to 50 pounds and I seem to be at a standstill where wanting to even try. You would think getting a bit healthier would push me.

Good morning Ladies and thank you wannabe for bumping this up...it was raining when I got up earlier and fed my four legged kids and went back to sleep on the couch. It is a cool start to the morning and the sound of rain made it easy to drift back to sleep. But it is to warn up today so I did enjoy it while that lasted sawing logs...see I was already busy stacking the wood up...lol
After today it will be a busier week....my husband and I go to Cincinnati ( Friday/Saturday ) to the Stampaway Convention there every year since 2002. Tim Holtz is demoing there and I worm my way to the front to see him and to get one of his tags he does and he will also sign it...very nice man and so much talent. We opt in to the Friday night preview party, only 500 tickets sold for this event and Saturday it is opened to the public. It is nice to see what is there and to do a bit of the shopping on Friday night. Saturday I like to watch the demos being done at different booths. And shop more of course. It is a time for me to get refills on inks and the stamps etc. Our daughter Carrie is coming with us this year as well.
I like to see all the newest lines out there and some booths demo that like Tim does. Seeing it done in person is better then talking about it or You Tube even.

lol...not a list but some things in mind I hope they have, Penny Black cling stamps...
Hubby is at doctors now for a couple of problems and hope he comes home with a good report.
I have not been to the movies in a while and think I may have to start taking myself...right now I do not have use of my car, hubby is using it because his truck gave out and we are waiting til the end of this month or next to get him a new one. I feel a but trapped here at times but soon to be free again...lol
