there's a few of them, but it also depends on what else is on, and what cable channel it's playing on- e.g., how many commercials and how much it's been edited. If there's not much else on television, then I will watch any of the Lord of the Rings movies, even though we own all of them on BluRay (except the newest ones).
oh, yeah-- also A Few Good Men, any Bourne movie or Mission Impossible movie, and most John Hughes movies...

The Talented Mr. Ripley, which I just watched yesterday (again)! I saw this once after it was in theaters and I remember hating it. Haven't seen it since, and I never see it on tv (although I don't have movie channels). If I did, I'd probably watch it again to see if it was still as bad as I remember it being. Now I really want to see it again!

The Lake House.
(It's a truly terrible film, but I can't help myself, and I've passed it on to my DD, as well - who will call and let me know it's on.)

Now I really want to see it again! I'm a huge Patricia Highsmith fan, so I love the book as well as the movie. Minus Matt Damon as a total sociopath, the movie has the best visuals ever!! An Italian summer with the best clothes, decor and music, and the best looking cast ever

Jurassic Park. Not only will I not turn it off, I act like I've never seen it before... excited to find it. Not quite as strong a response, but close... Ghost Busters Armageddon Independence Day Jaws

Any disaster movie, I'm a sucker for them. My most recent favorite is Battleship and 2012 (which also falls into my John Cusack category).
It's a completely horrible movie but I also always get sucked into Sex in the City whenever it is on.

National Lampoon's Vacation (the original, not European or Christmas. I just live Chevy Chase in this. And Anthony Michael Hall is the best Rusty!) Dirty Dancing (cuz what's not to love about Patrick Swayze?!) Pitch Perfect (I LOVE the music at the end! Sometimes I just go straight to the finals and watch that) Mr. Holland's Opus (I love how it goes through the the decades, and love the end when it all comes together) Forrest Gump (I love the music and the show of decades, very well done!) Shawshank Redemption (does Red find Andy at the end? They have to be together again...is what I always think)

So many. But I'll share the ones my family has made comments on.
The Lord of the Rings...all of them. Kung Fu Panda. I've been known to watch it back to back when they run it like that on holidays. It was on twice this weekend and I watched it both times.
Also, the Harry Potter movies.

Any of the Oceans movies. I have seen them all so many times I know exactly what is going to happen. Any of the Harry Potter movies. For some strange reason. The American President.

There are quite a few, but lately it's been About Time. It's in the HBO rotation and every time I see it in the guide, I stop and watch til the end. And I have the DVD too. Me too! And now my husband does the same thing, I think because he loves the music.

Just this past week everyone in my family made fun of me for watching A Few Good Men (two different times, from different points, both on channels with commercials no less, and we do have it on DVD), Runaway Bride, Bridget Jones Diary, My Cousin Vinny, and the one that I am almost ashamed to admit that I have watched SO many times, and I love it, The Veronica Mars Movie. We have who knows how many dvd's, and several movie channel packages, and I still end up watching cheesy movies on regular channels, with commercials and bad editing. LOL

So many. And even if I own them I have to watch when they are on TV. Do you suppose it harkens back to the days when you had to wait to watch it on TV... like once a year, waiting for Snoopy, Charlie Brown or Rudolph to appear? Besides, commercials give me a chance to pee and not have to interrupt the movie and bothering anyone else. Kids now a days... they have it so easy! <<<<< said with my best old-lady-get-off-my-lawn voice!

Sweet Home Alabama. The Proposal drags me in most times too. The Breakfast Club is another. Who doesn't love The Proposal. Everytime I see her running around the yard offering up the dog... I won't even admit how many times I have seen that movie. My have to stop everything and watch movies also include 13 going on 30(which has been on quite often recently), Sweet Home Alabama, You've Got Mail and I forgot about How to Lose a Guy until I read it in the above post. Love that movie and haven't seen it on tv in forever but have it on DVD.
