alissa103 - I went yesterday and got the WRMK 5x7 magnetic mat. YAY! It was the last one. Thanks for mentioning it. They had about five or so pink 12x18 AC mats and one 18x24. They were $14.99 and $19.99 respectively. I thought that was kind of expensive, since you can get a good cutting mat at M, H or J's and use a coupon. But I'm not fond of pink or AC crafts. My regular work mat is a green Olfa (not Olaf which is what I originally typed!) brand from the quilting/sewing section. I also got a 7 Gypsies stamp. I'll probably only use two or three stamps out of the set, but for $1.79 it was a good steal. On the Clearance they had Martha cupcake stands, reg 5.99 but 40% off. I'll be making Minnie cupcakes for my great nieces birthday, so I got a couple of those. I will not go to TM next week. I will not go to TM next week. I will not go to TM next week.

I'm envious of all of your TM finds! The store nearest to me closed - the closest location is 40 miles away.

My first Tuesday Morning shopping expedition is complete! - My store is really small. Is this typical? - There was maybe 10-12 ft of crafting? And it was really jumbled up. There was some paper crafting, but it's mixed up with beading, sewing, and other odds & ends for crafting. Are all of yours like that? Mine only had a handful of Tim Holtz items, only about 8 of the Embossing Folders, no Martha Stewart. There was a scrapbook paper, but it a lot of it was really beat up. - I did buy a few things: * A Darice 3/pc Embossing Essentials Embossing Folder for .99 (Hello, Just a Note & Smile). I have been wanting to try the embossing folders, plus I make cards, so I was excited to find this folder. ( I couldn't resist for .99!) * Tim Holtz "Frosted Film". Not sure what I'm going to do with it. But since it's adhesive backed, I may die cut into shapes to put in the glass panels (side lights) of my front door to give us some privacy. $2.99 * WRMK Mini Magnetic Mat & Ruler. I like to make cards and tags, so have a small mat to make quick cuts and trims will be nice. Thanks to Alissa for posting about this mat! $4.99 * American Crafts Pink Self-Healing Cutting Mat 11 x 17" Again - thanks for posting about these mats and where to find them. I almost forgot to look on the very bottom shelf - it was almost on the floor!. They had two larger sizes (and I may go back and get one) but this smaller size is perfect for my one desk top. I'm currently using a green Helix mat this is so warped it's annoying! $8.99 I'm going to try to remember to go back in about two weeks or so and see if there is anything new, plus I'm going to try to get to the store on the other side of the town. It's right next to a JoAnns, so it might be even more picked over.

It just depends on the store on how much space they have for crafts. Definitely check out your other store! My smaller store is actually better than some of the bigger ones bc it seems like it doesn't get as picked over. Then my other tip is to go often. I go about once a week, but it's convenient for me to do so. Often I buy nothing and other times I get 1-2 things. About every 2 months I hit the jackpot and find A TON. If you go often it won't take you long to see what's new. Honestly for a first trip you did really well! You got some goodies and things you wanted, yay!

What is TM? Does it focus more on current stuff, or more older product, or a mix? I recognize some of your purchases from a while ago - not that there's anything wrong with that! I often wait, myself.
I have been shopping a lot at our local stamp store, as well as a new online scrapbooking store.

cycworker - TM = Tuesday Morning. It's a discount store that sells older stuff. Kind of like Big Lots. Unlike BL, they have a crafty section.

kittens I bought my pink cutting mat at JoAnn in the quilting department. It's pink on one side, blue on the other. It's held up for years. What size is yours mikklynn?? I am looking for 36x18 . I tried Joannes but didn't see any big enough

Apparently, I need another cup of coffee to figure this out. The old 2Peas app was so easy...I think I got spoiled. I just don't have the patience or the time today so this is what I got for a little over $18!
Heidi Swapp puffy sticker words (#1563801) .99 AC Picnic flair (1563800) $1.049 2- Pebbles Citrus Bliss puffy stickers (#1563801) .99 each 2- Pebbles Atlas puffy stickers (#1563801) .99 each Maggie Holmes Ephemera Pack from the Open Book line (#1563799) $1.49 Crate Vellum Ephemera pack from the Oh Darling line (#1563799) $1.49 Maggie Holmes Chipboard frames from Open Line (#1563799) $1.49 Pebbles Solstice 6 x 6 paper pad (#1563796) $2.99 Crate 12 x 12 chipboard sheet from Craft Market (#1563798) $1.99 and one embossing folder for $99 (stack of books with an apple sitting on top) And I did see some Shimelle corkboard embellies and long wood veneer but it didn't ring my bell so those didn't come home with me.

I bought a Marvy punch that was the perfect size for small flashcards I'm making. $9.99. thank goodness I check TM first before going to Michaels, Joanns, or Ebay. Was that the 3 inch rectangle? If so, I got it too. I also found a bunch of coordinating paper to make kits. It is from the Plus One line.

Where is your store? I am from the Springs. The one I got to is on the corner of Vickers and Academy. The best one I went to was in Pueblo. Maybe not as many scrappers there so they were well stocked.

Now I feel like going, but I just bought more copic pens so that I can color faces. I'll have to resist because I am trying to clean Out, not bring more stuff in. Well, copics don't count. It's a NEED, not a want

Maybe not as many scrappers there so they were well stocked. I go to that one too. I am on the south side of the springs so I hit up the one in Pueblo a lot. The one by the Broadmoor is closest, but it seems like they don't get the variety.

kittens - I think mine is 18x24? It's packed up right now or I'd measure it. We are remodeling, so all my scrappy stuff is packed away. It's definitely not 36".

Yay! Glad you found the mat, GiantsFan! Will you post how you use it in your DIY stamping case? Sounds like you got some other awesome goodies, too! I haven't worked on this project yet. Of course, the mini mat will have to be cut down. And how do you cut a self-healing mat? And a self healing mat with sheet metal in it? I need to capture my Dad and ask him.

alissa103 the two stores in town and the town south of me usually get similar items. The town 40 miles north of me will get a few of the same things, but they get a lot of different things too.

Well I made a trip to TM because I went to the doctor's office nearby. I bought nothing craft-related.
No new 6x6 paper pads, only 1 Jillibean 1.99, that I wasn't interested in Some Hero Arts clear & cling stamps 4.99 (there was one cute birthday cling stamp set, but I decided I didn't need anymore birthday) AC pink smaller and larger-sized cutting mats 8.99 and 14.99 Mostly stuff that has been there for at least a month.
