Haha, that's so cool!!! Just as America's national dish is the Hot Dog, Australia's national dish is the Meat Pie. In particular, a Four'N'Twenty meat pie. So this is our version of your hot dog pizza, currently available at a Pizza Hut store near you (well, technically nowhere near *you*, but near me!): I haven't tried one yet. I think Australia might have just one-UPed the US! And, yeah, the way you can see what is inside the hot dogs is just plain nasty. Hot dogs are just plain nasty. I try not to think about it.

The pizza makes me think, heart attack on a plate and so does the Hardee's/Carl Jr burger with the hotdog.

I was just coming to post this!! My husband just became an Australian citizen this past week and his son said he wasn't really an Aussie until he had eaten one of these. I like pizza and I don't mind an occasional meat pie, just not together. And I would not eat a hotdog ever, so the original pizza would be out for me too. I actually thought they were little sausage rolls, not hotdogs at first.
Maybe I'll email Pizza Hut with an idea for sausage roll pizza.

even better if you get one of those Carls, Jr. All-American burgers to go with it! You know, the burger has a hot dog and potato chips ON THE BURGER!! I can just imagine what people from other countries think of us when they see ads like that... link to image of burger- ick!Nutritional Info - Carl's Jr. The 1/3 lb. Most American Thickburger (417g) Calories - 1030 (from Fat - 570) Fat - 64g (Saturated Fat - 23g) Sodium - 2350mg Carbs - 70g (Sugar - 16g) Protein - 38g Don't be dissin' the chips on the burger. Yum! We used to put them on our bologna sandwiches, too! And as for hamburger on the pizza . . . well, let's just say I never had a pepproni pizza until I was probably 10 years old. The only pizza we ever had at home was Chef Boy Ardee with hamburger bits on top. It wasn't that bad, at least before I new the delights of pepperoni LOL. Every once in a while, I kinda get a craving for a good ole Chef Boy Ardee with hamburger. I guess it's one of those childhood memories comfort food for me. My mom used to bake the Chef Boy Ardee pizza too! I don't know if they even sell them anymore. I remember the crust was a different texture than a restaurant pizza - they sort of melted in your mouth instead of chewy. Elaine

I actually have a double pizza kit in my pantry right now.
