Do you prefer to scrap alone or with friends?

I miss scrapping with friends. I moved a little more than an hour away and only make it occasionally. I haven't done much scrapping I need to work harder to make time for it.

I don't know anyone IRL who scraps, so alone or with online friends.

Alone only because I can't be away from my stash. I have to have my whole room to work effeciently. I would love to be more "portable."

I rarely scrap when I'm home alone - I'm not sure why. I scrap with friends every couple of months; typically at my house because I live almost exactly halfway between my two best scrapping buddies. The advantage of hosting is that I don't have to plan, pack and transport my supplies!
I also like to go to day-long crops and I'm excited because I recently found someone that hosts them pretty frequently in my area. I'm also on the lookout for weekend retreats within a reasonable driving distance.

I get more pages done when I'm at a crop or with friends. When I'm home, I get easily distracted by the phone, TV, computer, refrigerator, etc. Also, I tend to search for that perfect paper or embellishment for a layout that I know I have somewhere in my home....so I fall into a "rabbit hole" and lose track of time.

Alone. I can't focus with other people around.

I love scrapping with others, but my anxiety gets so bad when I am trying to pack to go to a crop.

I like to scrap with friends, and know a few local ladies but it's really hard to get to crops togther... I used to do an annual retreat in MN with friends but havent last 2 years...so we scrap either through skype or google+ so we can scrap togther - see each othere and our projects and still have access to our stashes!

Both. I get more done at home, but I have been enjoying getting to know some of the ladies at a local monthly crop and it's nice to get out among friends who "get" this hobby. But I don't usually get very much done at those crops! I have a hard time concentrating with all the action. It helps if I preplan a page or bring something easy.

I love to go to retreats and have uninterrupted time to scrap. I like being around others. I don't get to do that very often though. I don't mind being alone at home. Pros - no packing or unpacking. Con - too many distractions.

With friends. Especially if we're scrapping the same trip or event.

I don't have space at home right now with DD and Dgs living with us, so my stash is organized in the garage. Even when I had my own room, I prefer to scrap with others. There is something for me in seeing what everyone is doing that gets my creative juices flowing.

Like to scrap with others, but hate the packing & unpacking (& pre-planning), so I only rarely go to crop events. I actually like scrapping at home in my own room with all my scrap goodies around me. My room is a wonderful creating space! I also like scrapping at home because I know where everything is and I know I can get to it all without planning ahead.

I much prefer to scrap at home alone. If I have other people around I just get distracted, but by myself I get totally in the zone.
I don't have a massive stash so I like having all my options around me while I work.

Depends! Sometimes I enjoy the camaraderie and the background hum of a crop. And sometimes I prefer creating while alone, no humans, no noise.

In my scrappy world there is a time and a place for both. It feels like the right balance for me. Right now I am without any scrappy friends outlet and I have to admit I am feeling a bit alone and unbalanced these days.

That was interesting to read, especially since I love quiet to concentrate. Where I sit at work I can hear the radio of another team and even though often no one else can hear it the sound of it often makes me want to take pencils and stab them into people's ears. I have trouble zoning out if it's my own music too - I tend to get too caught up in the songs I love to focus on my work.

I have to say I prefer scrapping alone. Really, I scrap at the speed of a snail. When you add in people, I just want to talk. That slows me down even more. Then I have to hear people tell me how slow I am.
I love scrapping with others for the social aspects. But I think in my case it should be called talking and eating with others.

Alone. I have a small craft room all set up (finally!). I have peace, serenity and a radio. Plus, 1,2 or all 3 of my dogs come in a lay in the room with me. They are all the company I want or need. It is my little slice of heaven in my own house.

I don't have anyone close by that scraps, so I usually scrap alone with my tv or radio on. I make it as a time for myself to enjoy adn relax.
