The happy hour wasn't meant to exclude anyone! It was meant to get the board hopping and foster a sense of camaraderie among those of us who do still scrap. There are admittedly a lot of people over in NSBR who do not scrap, or who quit years ago, or moved on to other crafts. And those of us who participate in both boards are on both boards frequently. So I don't think it's strange that it wasn't advertised over here. But when we do it again I will personally try to remember to post it over here, if people are interested. In the meantime check out the threads over there! Doesitmatter did an awesome job with the topics and they are still active! Who says happy hour can't turn into Happy Days. Ha. so this wasn't Margarita mommas part two

Ha ha, I am glad you asked. I only go to the GS board once a week or so (although I do still scrap, a lot), and I was wondering if I had missed something.
I'm all for that board having more activity. I used to post a fair amount on Studio Calico, but that community . . . well . . . if you have been there lately, you know how it has been.

I don't remember Margarita Mommas, freecharlie! Who were they? they started on the swap board and decided to move to NSBR for whatever reason , but the first post told us that while they were flattered that we were interested in them that they didn't want us posting on their closed group thread. You can imagine how that went over

Thanks for clearing it up.
Nope, no negativity here. Just being very cautious. I thought it was hacked or a troll or something, no way was I going to open up one of the posts and risk getting a computer virus. Been there, done that(thankfully my anti-virus popped up with a warning) on a now defunct message board.
I checked the top of the board(the announcement area) and saw nothing special noted. So, I erred on the side of caution. Since the NSBR board gets way more action, I started the inquiry thread there.
The "happy hour" stuff is not my thing, but the rest of you enjoy.

I was not part of the old peas but I thought NSBR stood for Non(not) Scrapbook Related or something close to that. So I would never think to make an announcement about scrapbook/card making/stamping here. Maybe it is the same for doesitmatter. I know that's what it stands for, but if the point of doing something like a happy hour is to increase participation and traffic to the scrapbooking board (which, generally, it is), I don't know why you wouldn't want to put a quick note up where the traffic actually is. Especially when I think most people do not make a point of going over to check the actual crafting boards. On the old board the scrapping board and NSBR board had pretty different feels to them most of the time, and you rarely saw anyone bring up what was happening on the scrapping board over on NSBR unless there was some drama, because, let's face it, the NSBR thrived on drama. So I wouldn't necessarily imagine that anyone on the current scrapping board would have thought to let the current NSBR board because they are just not in the habit of doing that. (Let's face it, on the old board, posting a mass invite to the NSBRers could very well just lead to trouble. )

We could turn a small drama into a 10 pager

Did I miss some sort of announcement here on NSBR? I wouldn't have been available anyhow but it seems to me that if there's another happy hour in the future, it would be nice to have a notice up here, where more people are. I was not part of the old peas but I thought NSBR stood for Non(not) Scrapbook Related or something close to that. So I would never think to make an announcement about scrapbook/card making/stamping here. Maybe it is the same for doesitmatter. So that's what NSBR means. Never could figure that out and always forgot to ask when I was on the board. Thanks!
