Who watched last night? Was it explained why was Vicki was on Shannon's landline receiving the sad news?
Did anyone watch Vicki on What Happens Live afterwards? What did she say?
I can't stand Megan, I think she totally blew the call with Shannon out of proportion as well as Shannon's "reaction" to her in Napa. In her blog, she says it was her husband's decision to not invite Shannon to the party, how convenient to put the blame on him after the fact as it was never mentioned during the show. I knew Megan was younger than Shannon, but I had to laugh at her keep calling her a 30 year old, is that the new 20? I thought we're supposed to be wiser by 30. I googled Shannon's age and was shocked to see she's 51!
Megan is so proud to say her name is on the house, but come on, having moved 6 times in one year, if they sell their new house after living in for a couple years, it's not really "hers" to keep as she can't continue the mortgage on her own. Did she work before she was married?

I thought it was weird when Vicki asked Shannon to use her landline. That seemed odd. I could tell that Vicki was in horrible pain at receiving the news, but I was surprised by just how much she lost it. That was really hard to watch and I felt tears in my eyes!
I think Megan is seriously delusional in her marriage. They've only been married a few months, and Jim doesn't seem to give a shit about her. Like Vicki said, "Red Flags."
Shannon is a nut job on a good day but I just feel so sorry for her in dealing with the aftermath of the affair. She could stand to be a little nicer though.

I guess whomever called her told her to move to a private room before they gave her the news. But she used her cell later to talk to Brooks, so her cell was working.

I also can't stand Megan and thought her blog post was beyond obnoxious. From Megans blog: "When Shannon called me to invite me to bunco I was thinking: What the heck is she calling me for when I am in the middle of moving and I'm stressed to the hilt. I don't have the time to rehash the boloney that happened in Napa. The whole time I'm thinking "Oh my gosh the movers don't know what to pack and what is being donated and Jimmy has no idea about that either. I need to get downstairs!" Its hilarious she is so stressed from moving but called Shannon for help while Shannon is basically in a mid life crisis. I feel sorry for Shannon this season and cried for Vicki last night that was tough to watch

Meghan is incredibly annoying, but her husband Jimmy Edmonds is a total turd. Jimmy Edmonds acts like he just cannot even be bothered by her. I don't even know why Jimmy Edmonds agreed to be on the show. Why does everyone on the show refer to him by his full name? And as far as the charity argument? They are both idiots. If I had to take a drink every time they said charity or olive branch in the last 2 episodes, I'd have to be admitted to a 12 step program.

Tamra said in her blog when she was going through her custody suit last year she couldn't function and make basic decisions so she understands what Shannon is going through. What was confusing to me is that they have the video footage of Shannon's end of the call, so Shannon knew who was calling her? They are tipped off to expect an incoming call from a housewife so the cameras are rolling.

I have no idea who Jimmy Edmonds is but then again I don't follow baseball. But I guess with athletes their name is always said together. When Scottie Pippen's wife was on the RHofMiami how did they say his name?
I think Jimmy agreed to be on the show because it makes him a bigger star, just like it did Lamar Odom when he was on the Kardashians.

I guess I missed the beginning of Vicki's phone call at Shannon's - I just assumed someone had called her on Shannon's land line? I have to admit, I cried watching Vicki... I remember those emotions when my dad died. I don't like Megan either - she's such a bitch. And Annabella - based on a couple of 30-ish girls I know, 30 is the new 16 - LOL. I found her comment funny too.

I love when the new girl in these shows stirs shit up...makes watching these shows much more interesting.
I felt terrible for Vicki (when though I think she's a puke) but like others, it reminded me of my mother's death and it was very sad to watch.
Shannon is nucking futs and I don't see her marriage surviving that mess.
I loved Heather's commentary on her husband on how he wants to be a "STAR".....lol
Don't follow baseball, don't know who Jimmy Edmonds until now....still don't care.

I get it, she's lonely and the kids miss him. However he's working hard so they can afford to build that mcmansion and she can stay at home. Having his own reality show brings more business to his private practice where he can raise the prices.

I admit I broke down and cried when Vicki lost it. So sad. I am still totally annoyed with Shannon and Meghan. Get over yourselves. And Jimmy Edmonds...he's a total tool. He just seems so disinterested in anyone but himself. Meghan must be a saint to put up with him. He does not seem worth it! He skeeves me out way more than Slade ever did!

No way- that's not on Heather. That's allll on him. She didn't want to sell their last house. They had someone ring the doorbell and make an offer- and he talked her into selling and building this 'dream house'. She was reistant and he offered her the moon and the stars to go along with it- including promising to be home more. This was before Botched.

OK- I think editing isn't doing Shannon any favors with regard to Meghan. I was glad she called back to say 'Listen- I'm not going to prove anything. I am inviting you- and I hope you'll come, but that's the end of it.' She recognized her mistake, going along with Meghan's 'prove it to me, Shannon' comment- and instead of stewing about it, she took care of it right away. I think Meghan is an idiot and she needs to be stepped on a little. Shannon can be bizarre- but I have to agree with her on the phone call. I would not appreciate someone giving out my phone number without asking, and if someone used that number out of the blue, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be all that warm either. Shannon doesn't owe Meghan an apology- it's the other way around. Heather cracked me up with the 'Terry wants to be a star!' comment. I really like her. The Bunco party was hilarious...how you get all competitive and loud and scream-ey. Of course Meghan had to get all superior and call it an old lady game. OMG. I played with a Bunco group for 10 or 12 years in my 30's and early 40's and it was the most fun. I have mixed feelings about Vicky's phone call and her reaction. I had heard before the season started that she said she allowed the footage to be aired because it's real and her life and it's what she signed up for with this show. I thought it was a brave stance to take. But something didn't sit well with me, watching the footage last night. And I say this knowing that people react/grieve/hurt in different ways. I'm not trying to be a jerk. I generally like Vicky. Her initial reaction was raw and heartbreaking and seriously made me cry. But as time went on, her behavior seemed a little contrived. She made it all about her- and really turned up the theatrics. How will I....I need...how can she leave ME...mommy mommy mommy. They have cars with drivers right there- but she stayed where she was instead of going home to Brooks, to start packing and buy a ticket. She talked to her brother and it was ' I have to get home. I have to be there.' - then she gets off the phone and says she'll go in the morning. She seemed to be (of course) truly shocked and grieving, but there was something about the whole thing that made me think 'she's too aware of the cameras'. I feel bad just writing that. Let me clarify...I felt awful for her. It was horrible news to receive, especially long distance. I'm sure her shock and emotion is genuine- I'm not saying for a second it wasn't. It was the other stuff that made me kind of go .

I'm pretty much a robot when it comes to sad TV... I rarely cry. But, I totally admit to tearing up watching Vicki get that awful news. I like when Heather said that the group wasn't perfect, and they fight and bicker, etc. But when push comes to shove, they are there for each other... And they were.
Yes, I think Vicki's response was all about her. And maybe a part of it was contrived for the cameras, who knows. I won't point any fingers though... I've never been in her shoes. (Not picking on you, sues... Promise!) I'm not a huge fan of Vicki, but I felt terrible for her.
Shannon is nutso, but I do like watching her on the show.
I really have no feelings one way or the other on Meghan. She's kinda boring to me, so far.
Heather is still my favorite of the bunch.

You have to understand that this is the 10th season of the RHOC, so Vicky is comfortable living under the cameras. Read the blog she posted today, she explained why she said what she did. She said she caught the red eye to Chicago the next day. That party was in the evening, there's not a lot of flights at night so there's no guarantee she would have time to drive to the airport (which in LA is far) and get the last direct flight. Honestly since her mother had already passed, and not in the hospital, there's no sense rushing it. She should go home and pack some clothes since she will be in Chicago for at least a week. And be a bit more composed on the plane. Someone said she should have Brooks to sit next to her on the ride home so that she shouldn't ride home alone, because they're all married and used to that support. And it's not like these ladies live close to each other, hence they don't share cars like some of the Beverly Hills ladies do. I liked how bravo could show video clips of her mom, that's one of the benefits of living on camera. I also saw a special episode where all the kids of the RHOC talked about what it was like being in high school while on camera. Jeana's boys said they got flack for their bad behavior on screen from friends. Vicky's daughter said she appreciated having those life moments documented on camera. I also think that if Vicky didn't show her reaction on screen, Bravo wouldn't have done the montage of her mother's moments on the show. They would have just put up a picture and time of death.

My impression of the Meghan/Shannon situation is that Meghan is trying to drum up some drama in an attempt to keep the fans/show interested in her. The OC group has typically been a tough group to break into as a newbie. It's hard to compete with seasoned reality whores like Vicki and Tamra.
I knew who "Jimmy" was, but had no idea he had such a lousy personality. The two of them as a couple have about as much heat and sex appeal as a pair of sweat socks.

In St. Louis, Jim Edmunds was one of the favorite players during the time he played. He was well liked in the community. My family and I were fans of his. Now, watching him on RH, I have lost a lot of respect for him. He's been acting like an ass and I do not care for Megan at all.
Vicki's reaction was raw but it was all about her. I am still wondering if Brooks really has cancer.

Yep- I understand all of that. I still think what I think. And the girls may not share rides- but the show has limos that pick them up and drop them home re: these evening parties- so they can drink without legl risk to Bravo, I'm sure. One of them could have easily taken her home. And really- flights from LA to Chicago and vice versa are a dime a dozen, all times of day. Rationally you can think 'She's already passed' - but I'm sure at that moment she just wanted to be with her family, even though nothing could be done. I thought the clip they aired with Vicki on WWHL (she wasn't the guest- and you can catch it on-line) was really good. She explained how she felt about the segment being aired, how her mother felt about the show and a little bit about the whole finding-out experience. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to feel for her.

I agree I brought up closing time cuz large airports like LAX don't close. I thought I read that she received word in the evening so if it was really late she wouldn't be able to get out of SNA and IMO would be best to just wait until morning instead of going all the way to LAX and deal with LA.

I just watch the episode and a couple things just don't sit right with me.
1) I read Vicki's blog and she said her mom passed in early February. If I recall from reading twitter at the time, I thought Tamara posted a blurb about them not speaking at the time but she was sending her condolences & prayers. Now we see last night episode and they were on speaking terms and filming at a bunco party. I really think this was reenacted for filming. (I wish there was an easy way to search twitter that far back.)
2) Why did Vicki ask to use a landline? She had her cell phone with her the whole time.
3) Vicki's "breakdown" seemed like acting. On the phone, I didn't see any tears and none of her Tammy Faye makeup was running. She got louder and louder and nobody heard anything, then all of a sudden Shannon says everyone is taking a "break" for a minute and goes into the room with Vicki.
There is proof on the interwebz that Vicki, Brianna and Ryan reenacted telling Vicki they eloped so I'm thinking this was the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I can't imagine what Vicki went thru in February and my heart breaks for her. I just don't think what we saw last night was as authentic as it's being made out to be.

Regarding Vicki using the land line... I just rewatched that part of the episode, and she definitely asked Shannon if she could use her phone. (Earlier I said I assumed Briana had called her on Shannon's phone.) I think Briana sent Vicki a text to call her from a land line because she wanted privacy. I bet their phones are somehow mic'd for all of their calls - or at least at certain times. That's the only reason I can think of - other than maybe her battery was dead, but then again she used it to call her brother.
I'm not going to throw any judgement on what she said or how she acted. I've been there, and things just come out. My mom lost it when my dad died, she passed out with me trying to hold her up and I was calling her mommy. I've never in my life called her mommy, and I don't know why I did it then.

My thought too was that Vicki got a text and then asked about the land line. When she asked Shannon about it Shannon said it was in their craft room. I thought, hmmmm what does that look like!!
When the ladies are on their cells they apparently are instructed to put it on speaker phone so all can hear it. So, I figured whomever texted her didn't want the conversation on speaker phone.
