I've played Cards Against Humanity and love it. Yes, I'm awful:) I've heard that it's similar to Apples to Apples. I've never played Apples to Apples but am thinking about buying it to take to the beach next week. Is it fun for all ages?
Thanks.

Apples to Apples is a fun game for a group of people. I don't think the grown up version is good for kids because there are too many cultural references that they just don't know about. But, if you do have kids that you want to include, the Junior version is fun for kids & adults to play.

Apples to Apples is a great party game too. My DD is 10 and plays the adult version with us with the help of an adult "consultant".

I love Apples to Apples! It's a ton of fun to play. You need to have a group of people with a sense of humor though.

Yes, Apples to Apples is fun for all ages! We love it at our house (and CAH is awesome too!). I'd definitely go for the Junior version with kids. And lilacgirl is so correct about this: I love Apples to Apples! It's a ton of fun to play. You need to have a group of people with a sense of humor though. We sometimes play it at lunch time at work and there are a couple women who just don't get into it or enjoy playing it. Both have said there sense of humor is different from the rest of us. Maybe the rest of us are just silly/twisted?! What's nice is they come anyway, eat their lunches, and watch. It's a good time.

I think I will definitely be adding this to the box of games we take. My 14 year old DS always wants to play CAH but we've told him no way and won't even play when he's in the house since it gets a little loud. This will be something fun we can play as a family.

Yes! Apples to Apples is a fun game for all ages. Of course, Cards Against Humanity is still better, especially if you add a few drinks! Lol

For a 14 y.o. the regular version would be fine. It will definitely have cultural/historical references that he might not know, but it's a great way to learn a bit of history in a fun environment. There are cards with things like Woodstock, Cary Grant, Boris Karlov, Greenpeace, Andy Warhol, Waco TX, etc. but hundreds more that are straightforward for any age. I've found it interesting to hear my kids' impression of someone like Jimmy Carter or a topic like the Vietnam War. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of just plain silly fun - it's not at its heart an educational game.
