I use to have a system for colors and types of paper. I wasn't using my scraps then. I think it was because it was too organized for me./quote] This was me too. I used to have my solids sorted by colour and my patterns by design (polka dots, text prints, florals, etc). I finally worked out I could never find what I wanted because I would think "I want a pattern with a bit of yellow and pink and blue" and then had to remember all the papers in my scraps. These days I have them all mixed up in two drawers - one for solids and one for patterns. I use them all the time and usually reach for them once I've chosen my background. If I can't find a scrap that will work then I head to my full sheets.

Scraps make me feel guilty. I have a lot of them. I should use them. Instead, the box just keeps getting fuller ...

I do use my scraps, that's why I'll never make a dent in my paper stash!!! I just store them in large ziplock bags. I do separate small (quart sized bag) and large (2 gallon bag) I put card stock on one side of the bag a pp on the other. I also store my 12x12 strips separately.
