Billy Squier and Def Leppard in 1983. I was a senior in HS and had to sneak because I wasn't allowed to go to concerts. I went on to go to many more (on the sly, of course) including the US festival in 1983. Hey, I was at the US Festival too! I'm sure we must have seen each other. LOL!

I *think* it was Air Supply (good grief ) in 1983, when I was 15. I know I also saw the Chicago 17 tour in 1985 when they were at the Philadelphia Spectrum (probably one of the worst places to see a concert - the acoustics were terrible).

Rod Stewart and the Small Faces around 1973. Also my first (and only) time to be teargassed.

My first concert with a date was in high school 1966 ~ Dave Clark Five and Herman's Hermits! I was in love with Peter Noone!

A-HA when I was 13. Thus starting a life long fascination with pale, foreign boys with accents. Hello Duran Duran, depeche mode, and the smiths. Well, it's not like A-ha grew up ugly, this is what they look like today. They kept their career going for quite some years and have a LOT of great music that probably never made it out of Norway. Has that lead singer even aged? He's definitely got some kind of Dorian Gray situation going on. LOL

Michael Jackson. I was an adult and won the trip to Los Angeles. It was in the late 80's and was supposed to be his last concert in the US ever.

Beach Boys and Sonny and Cher at Hollowood Bowl. I was probably 14 and went with my brother. Around the same time I saw Dave Clark Five in Long Beach.
In 1968 I saw The Grateful Dead in San Francisco at the Fillmore West. I was 16 and we had to hitch hike home (back to my brothers in Haight Ashbury) because the bus had stopped running. I was a nervous wreck, lol!!

Pat Benatar when I was nine (1979) with my mom and her friend. 36 years later I remember very little of the concert except exactly what I was wearing (tight yellow pants and a red t-shirt) and all the attention I got from the other concert-goers lol.

Bobby Sherman, when I was... maybe 12? 13? I don't remember my age but I do remember that we screamed for the entire concert. I'm sure we hardly heard a note coming from him because of all the screaming. My first was Bobby Sherman too!! 13 - Memorial Hall Dayton Ohio

Well, my parents took us to see Sammy Davis Jr. when I was 13. I loved it!
But my first real concert I would say was seeing Bread when I was 15, at an outdoor ampitheatre where we sat on the grass on a blanket.

My one and only concert was 1988. I had just graduated high school and a good friend of mine invited me to go see Smokey Robinson on Mud Island in Memphis. We were in the middle of a heat wave and even at night it was hot!

Sammy Davis JR. w/an opening by George Carlin(Love Carlin) when I was 10. Went w/a friend and her parents. Saw tame stuff like Manhatten Transfer, Melissa Manchester, etc. as a teen. My first big concert as an adult was U2 in the 80's. No one told me to wear ear plugs. Now I know better.

The first concert I went to was with my mom and was some combination of the Judds, Alabama, George Straight, Merle Haggard and maybe someone else? It was a Marlboro country music tour or something like that, I think? I feel like maybe I went to a couple of them so I'm not sure which performers were at which show. The first concert that was for me (and not a tag-along with my mom) was Whitney Houston (Greatest Love of All tour) for my 8th birthday. My aunt took me, it was two days after my birthday and I fell asleep before she sang my favorite song. The first concert that I went to that was just with friends (no parents and we drove ourselves) was The Posies when I was 16. They have been one of my absolute favorite bands since I was 14 and seeing them live that very first time was magical. I really fell in love with whole live show experience and have been to a few more since then (my last count was 277).
