Hey all! Thanks for the kind words - I appreciate it. Not eating really messes with me. I'm so tired and hungry and I get pretty melodramatic when that happens. LOL goldenblind221 I went to the doc today (third time in 2 weeks :/ ). She switched my antibiotics again and think I probably have thrush. Barf. They gave me a couple meds for that. I am SO over being sick. Dude. WTH. I feel for you.

mdith4him thank you so much for saying that. I know that a lot of people probably think I'm wasting my time and I honestly don't blame them a bit. I probably am lol but like I said, I always have to give it my best go and at least feel that I made my best effort to communicate my feelings. I just figured with how defensive everyone has been feeling lately (and understandably so) a little respect and understanding may help SC to see clearly how we feel (not that I think I can speak for everyone which is why I wanted it to be an open thread and not a conversation, everyone has a voice and deserves to be heard) Again high hopes I know, but it's important to me that I tried. I'd hate to lose the community and products without even trying, but if that's the way it is that's the way it is. Just refreshing to me to see so many members respectfully, honestly, openly, and humbly talk about the issues. Just thought I'd chime in again (it's been a while) & show my support. I think I've said it previously - I just don't have anything further to add, you've each said it all, in your own way. cabrady93 I do think you're wasting your time (now, hear me out) however, that's me. I think you're wasting your time because it won't achieve anything, but if that's how you deal with things, you said you always have to give it your best go - so I say to you - go for it & don't worry what others may think. I'm the kind of person who hates confrontation. If I have a bad meal at a restaurant I won't complain, I'll just leave it all on the plate & never go back. That's what I've chosen to do with SC, except it took me a lot longer constantly getting kicked to the ground, so to speak, before I could come to that decision. It doesn't usually take me that long. About "that" blog - don't go there - it's easy to post anonymously like that. I'd rather have @abr79 or aggiebonfire00 as an enemy any day, than those keyboard warriers. At least I would know where I stand with them & I respect that. I respect that a lot. BTW, I's sorry you got kicked out "expelled" if you like. Neither of you deserved that. cath4k I totally understand how you feel, at this stage of my life, I have so many different stresses that I don't need the stress that that place was causing me even though it's just "paper & glue people" It's paper & glue that I've paid for with my hard-earned after-tax dollars! @abr79 sorry to hear you're so unwell. I'll bet, running your own bakery you can't really take time off can you? I hope you're at least taking it a little bit easier while you're unwell? Anyway, I'm off to meet friends to see a photographic exhibition & then lunch.

Posted on SC's instagram pic … ccatabay@studio_calico can someone please help with more order. I have received double shipment and your customer care still had not helped resolve the issue. This is on you as you scheduled a pick up but I am not home and you did not tell me when UPS is coming to pick up the package. I am not responsible for this duplicate shipment if you do not respond to my questions. When will this package be picked up? where is the return address label? This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. And it's your mistake not mine. I am willing to drop this second package off if you can email me at christinelynncatabay@gmail.com with a return address label. This is my 4th attempt at reaching soomeone with answers to my questions. … at least I'm not the only one who feels this way.

If no one opens the box and UPS picks it up, it doesn't cost SC anything. If they send return shipment labels, the company has to pay for shipping. Is this correct? I can see why they want to do it this way, but they should have explained it to the customer. I think a majority of people would have happily sent it back. Or perhaps they could just tell you to write refused on it and take it to UPS. That wouldn't cost them anything. I think if they stood on a good foundation with their customers (like most businesses) they would have been fine, right?

So what do you guys think about Savannahs reply in the "positive-thread"? She is listening, all day, and they care and they appreciate their customers bla bla bla. They are having growing pains cause they are just growing and growing and growing..... I really don´t get it. Are they really growing that much? They may be growing in other "branches", but do you really believe the kit-business is growing? I´m having a hard time believing that. I just think that they don´t care too much about the kit side of the business any more... there is absolutely no way that SC's kit club is growing. period. this is a lot of narcissistic grandstanding from yours truly, AF. if she says it, it's true (in her mind) - no matter what the facts show. ugh - this really does seem hopeless unless she will let someone who is healthy take over. completely....which is very, very unlikely.

Hi to everyone! This seems to be the place where the action has moved, and I would love to find a new home to reconnect with my online friends! It's reassuring to see so many friends and familiar names from the SC boards so I kept my username the same, too.
I have trouble with change and letting go, but it's time to face the music. When I saw that the two lovely ladies were dismissed from SC with threads and posts being deleted right and left, that's about it for me. I am a little overwhelmed by the size of this MB, but am dipping my toes in the pool here. It's so comforting to know that others have been going through a grief-type process coming to terms with the fact that the SC that was such a special place is no longer.
But cheers to all of you and a place to continue moving forward!

Mine weren't delivered UPS, mine where (forgive me I don't know the correct term) where UPS delivers it to your local post office and then they deliver it. I'm not sure if that makes a difference in what SC is charged if it was refused.

I think if they stood on a good foundation with their customers (like most businesses) they would have been fine, right? Ding, ding, ding! I absolutely agree with you. Why won't they provide options to the people who, frankly, pay their damn bills??? That makes a lot of sense - having to pay for a label versus having it picked for free - so why not explain that to their customers who really don't have to do anything with those boxes if they don't want to. I think that if they had told people upfront that they have to pay for a label, people would have been sympathetic to their position, even though I mostly think SC should be bending over backwards to make it easy for the customer who didn't ask for this annoyance. I have no idea what Savannah's experience is, and heaven knows she's got a lot on her plate with all of the new brands they've taken on, but her post today falls on deaf ears because nothing has changed. There haven't been any changes outlined to alleviate the current problems, only more excuses. It's not good enough. It's just plain not good enough. And when you have people taking to instagram to complain and to be heard, you have to recognize that you have some major problems or you're just...well, I can't think of a kind word so I'll leave it at that.

The level of meta-complaining is generally where I chime in, because I'm usually hopelessly late to the party. I am also really baffled by the thought process of the posters who start the "RELAX, it's JUST PAPER!!!" threads in response to complaints. "Gee, I feel so much better now that you've pointed out how petty and stupid I am! Please, instruct me in how I can emulate your chic insousance in regard to matters that your insightful commands have revealed to be too trivial for comment ! " - No one ever. If anything, those threads seem to generate MORE enmity and discontent, in addition to meta-complaint threads, which spawn their own opposing meta-meta complaint threads, ect. However, that's not the tone that I perceived from Magdalena's comment. I am generally a Rockermorsan fan-girl, and the tone of her statement read, to me, as though she's been bashed *somewhere* for being too pro-SC. I don't believe that was happening in that thread, at all, but I'm also obviously no universal arbitrator of linguistic intent and perception. I hope she'll clarify what she meant (unless I'm completely wrong, which is an ever-present option!) @devildog I also don't think you said anything that was in any way harsh or worthy of being chastised! This, this, this. Yes. I'm fully aware that I'm most likely overreacting over yes, JUST PAPER, but I hate being told that I'm overreacting or that I'm being petty. It makes it worse. And, yes, I realize that's something I need to work on, personally (not just in MB world but also IRL...so many fights with the husband are escalated because I feel like he's downplaying or devaluing my feelings. But, the kicker is that in all my dead-horse beating comments I never devalued anyone else's comments - even if they disagreed with me. Goes back to the double standards and it sucks. Also, you all were right about visiting that smack blog with a thick skin/hasmat suit. Apparently aggiebonfire00 and I are "annoying AF"...good to know. Looks like someone tried to stick up for us, but whatever. I now know about that blog and I will probably stay away from it (especially when I am tired and hungry and highly emotional from being tired and hungry) (I can't eat anything right now because my mouth is having some kind of reaction to all the antibiotics I've been on...I can't chew, can barely swallow and my left side of my jaw feels like I've been punched). I will say this - at least I have the balls to say how I feel rather than hiding behind the anonymity of that blog. Ignore that idoit on the smack blog, people that have to attack, bully, and put other down in order for them to feel good about themselves are sad. You are awesome, fair, well spoken, and funny! ((Hugs)) I hope you feel better soon!

Have you had any response to the Halloween stamp issue impearia? Not a satisfactory one anniefb...I got sure we will refund you Calico points...no I have heard of no plans to reorder this set. The End. It took ages to get a refund. And I had already started another convo by the time I got that answer...5 days ago...so today I started ANOTHER one saying I want my stamps or a I want refund for the house I would never have bought, which is now USELESS to me, and I want to speak to a supervisor and if I cannot get the stamps I want to know WHY not...oh and I haven't seen my CP points either... Sighhhhh just send me my darn stamps! foucaultgirl tried to do something super nice for me...and bought the digital set for me...but SC screwed it up and all I found was the house digital stamp...no guests again...WTH it is like they hate me. Thank you so much for your kindess foucaultgirl that was just so sweet!

Picking up on what goldenblind221 amongst others, has said, this place is indeed huge, but objective, honest and friendly. Also full of talented crafters. Another good thing about it being huge is that the censorship, bannings and so on over at SC will not work. The genie is out of the bottle. Not everyone is in the FB groups, not everyone will go over to the smack blog, but this community will tell it like it is.

Has anyone gotten a reply from an SC convo in the past few days? I'm wondering how long it's going to take given the shipping issues. I can only imagine what the warehouse is going to be like with thousands of boxes returning and needing to be reprocessed. My sub is over and I'm wondering if I send the cancellation convo on the 22nd (with an emphatic do not ask me again) if it will be processed by the 25th. Yeah, I got one this morning in response to my cancellation that I sent on the weekend, they were great no are you sure, just cancelled it, best one that I have had yet. A lovely little message after that they look forward to seeing any posts i make in the gallery. The cancellation email came though after the 50 thousand conversations about the issues with shipping, one conversation for every order I placed last month, thankfully it was far less than usual, the same issue someone else mentioned about not being charged shipping… so to those who were wondering the answer is yes the no shipping charge must have been for a few people…..

As for the other company, I don't feel any emotional attachment to them. If they're just another big business, I'm as committed as I am to my local big box store, grocery store or gas station: shopping around for the best deal not shopping with you out of loyalty.

I think they may reassess posting to IG. I emailed ccatabay last night and she told me that SC told her to leave the package outside with a note. Who ever heard of leaving a note? Are they giving everyone bits and pieces of what they should do? That would be nice if they were working with each person to find a compromise that works the easiest for them. Sad.

I honestly want to understand WTH they are thinking. None of what they say makes any sense. This really shouldn't be that hard of a problem for them to fix, with minimal effort on the customers part. I finally had to comment on the Savannah thread at SC. I just couldn't bite my tongue any longer. Savannah has a rocky road ahead of her. I wish her well but unless SC figures out how to communicate and act like a grown-up business, she will have her hands full.

I agree. They lost a ton customers after the pricing/shipping change. A lot of people were already on the fence before that because the kits shrank. The kit contents, price, and service doesn't hold up to other clubs.

The problem I see with this is, if UPS does indeed pick up unopened packages for free, Studio Calico is then ripping off UPS. Seriously - something in their software (I'm assuming) completely went cattywampus. This is not the fault of their customers or UPS. Yes, it's going to cost them some $$ if they need to pay to get those packages shipped back. It should cost them - it was their software (or someone operating that software) that messed up. (And I'm not certain that UPS will pick those boxes up for free, even if they've not been opened. Because somehow SC has given them a list of what needs to be picked up; I'm thinking they issued call tags and I think there is a charge for those.) By the way, I'm not a scrapbooker (but I make time so that I can make cards and I've never placed an order with Studio Calico, because by the time I got really into online ordering, a google search already was showing lots and lots of complaints about the company. But I got sucked into this thread by the post count when it was still in single digits, and I've been following it since. I really feel for all of you who have had so many problems and it certainly seems like the SC attitude is that they don't give a rip about their long-term customers because they can always find new ones. Also, reading the Savannah post, there seemed to be an awful lot of me, me, me, my vision, poor us we have so many new people . . . You know what companies I choose to order from? Ones that I'm not even sure of the "Customer Experience Manager's" name, because I never have issues with things not being shipped or items being swapped out from what I was expecting to get without my ok!

I wonder -- maybe those who are really having a tough time getting answers should just email April directly. They might get somewhere (I hope).

That’s not confidential info. April herself published her email address on her blog years ago.

I wonder -- maybe those who are really having a tough time getting answers should just email April directly. They might get somewhere (I hope). april@studiocalico.com That’s not confidential info. April herself published her email address on her blog years ago. I was going to suggest calling them. lol They have removed their number from most places but awhile back my credit card was hacked into and my card was being used (without permission) in Kentucky. I found a phone number and called SC and spoke to the CS manager that was there. Anyway, I think they were pretty suprised that a customer was actually calling them instead of emailing, etc.

I don't know if this is any good but their Yellow Pages listing shows: Studio Calico 114 Corporate Ct. Bowling Green, KY 42103 (270) 282-7000
