Are you sure you want to wallpaper? It's a big job and while I've done it many times, it's been years since I have. I think wallpaper is kind of a dated look. Plus it's sooo much work to put it up and it is so, so, sooooo much work to get it off. It's coming back in a big way. I've had my eye on this gorgeous one by Rifle Paper Co for a year now, but can't quite bring myself to pay $200/roll.

Thanks, everyone! Lots of great insight. I have a small wall in my DD's bedroom that I'm going to experiment with. Thanks again!

Hanging wall paper isn't too bad if you are using a good quality wall paper AND if the design isn't difficult to align.
I have never hung wallpaper in my home, but I have helped friends and family. You need two people though. Walking up and down a ladder while hold wallpaper is a pain and also getting the seams up against each other: it's just easier with two people.
Removing wallpaper is a complete PITA especially those wonderful people who paint over the wallpaper, with white high gloss paper, year after year after year. There is a special place in HE!! for those people.

Not at all fond of wallpaper. Just so difficult to remove.
