For this month, I thought we'd do a scraplift. I really don't do a lot of scraplifts, so I thought it was a great personal challenge. Unfortunately, when I looked at the 2peasrefugee gallery there were so many great layouts to choose from that I had to pick two of them. Do one or the other, or both; interpret how you choose taking one element or all of them; the choice is yours as always. The important thing is to create and have fun.

I love everything about this layout. I would duplicate it exactly with just a picture of my daughter if I could.

The angles on this project are so different and innovative and I really like the transparency layer and the burlap for texture. And just how sweet is that photo!!

I haven't been on this site much this month because I have family here. When I clicked on this thread I was so surprised to see my layout pop up. Wow, what an honor! Thank you, lisadv for choosing that layout.
I hope to join this challenge a little later in the month when things settle down a bit here.

KikiPea, that layout is "Seriously Cute". Sorry, couldn't help it. But, seriously, your pup is adorable. Although, I don't think I would want him on my lap. I love the colors. And is the seriously and hearts from a line or did you make them? I need some. == I do plan to play along with your sketch/scraplift challenge this month too. DawnMcD, I love calico cats. Your's is gorgeous! Super cute layout too, love your take. I left you love on flickr. Thanks for playing. doesitmatter, we don't allow feeling behind. We only move forward - one.step.at.a.time. Yeah, he thinks he is a lap dog. The word and hearts are foam Thickers from a really old Amy Tan line. I haven't been able to find anymore, but maybe you could luck out. "Seriously cute" is right !!! How sweet is that picture. Your dog looks like he just loves having his picture taken. I love the fun background paper, and how the black elements contrast with the other colours on the layout. Really nice take on Nylene's page. TFS :-).

jloubier, that's done to 'tag' the person so they know you've commented about them. you do it by putting the @ symbol right infront of their user name when you type it. (with no spaces between the symbol and the person's user name.) (if you hover your cursor over your name above in this reply, you should be able to see that it says "@" right in front of it)

I tried all evening to scraplift audreykit 's lovely layout. I am such a linear scrapper, I couldn't leave the papers angled. I have a hard time even tilting an element. After a while I gave up and used some of the same papers I was trying to use and scraplifted my layout. Someday I am going to learn to use those cool tilts and angles in my scrapping.  Beautiful Angie by Nylene Budge, on Flickr @kblyngal62, that is such a neat layout. I love your triple mat around the center block. Your die cuts are the perfect embellishments. What fun to take a cruise. Great job! |
