I was just posting that I was at the last quarter inch of my last tube of face wash and needed advice on a new sort as the company had gone under years ago.
story: I've always used Prescriptives All Clean to wash my face. Prescriptives closed down years ago, and I bought several cases (all that I could find at Nordstrom and several other outlets.)
Of course the Peas could steer me in the right direction, but I wanted to know just how long I'd been hoarding my stash and found out that Prescriptives was rebooted in 2011!
The time I've been dreading for years has been allayed!
I guess it's the little things that make one happy.

You're funny! I just tried a new face wash last night. I'm not as picky as you are.
How did you find out about the revival of your tried-and-true?

I hate it when a Holy Grail product gets discontinued. How lucky that you found it again!

I'm still bitching about discontinuing the old Maybelline waterproof mascara with the fibers, in the white and gold tube. How could Maybelline do that to me?

I used to be a die hard Prescriptives fan until their discontinuation. The stuff was the best quality! I still have makeup brushes that I bought years ago. I especially loved the way you could customize your eyeshadows in the container. I was thrilled when Clinique relaunched Calyx. It's one of the few fragrances I can wear.

I am makeup companies nightmare. My head is turned by a pretty commercial or ad and I have zero product loyalty. However, I am also cheap so I wash my face with the same soap that I wash my body with (Dove or Oil of Olay if it is on sale, or the Publix brand if it isn't) and use the old school Oil of Olay moisturizer. Unless of course there is a really cool ad that I can't resist. If I were Prescriptives I would send you a case of the stuff for faithful and loyal following. That doesn't happen much any more!

That's how I feel about my long-discontinued favorite base coat! I only have 2.5 bottles left after buying as many as I could find on Amazon. Sigh

Is it no longer an Estee Lauder line?

I ordered dd a dozen of her favorite hair mousse from Walmart.com because the formula isn't being made anymore. Calamity temporarily averted.

I only wash my face with Dove bar soap. Anytime I use something else I break out. Lesson learned. It can't be fake store brand "dove" either (I tried the Kirkland brand because it was on sale at Costco, no go).

I still mourn 2 different hair dyes. My hair is nearly black, but I have my Mom's natural redhead complexion, you know, deathly pale & freckled. So I've been dying my hair red fo years. I used a product when I lived in Japan that made my hair look incredible. By the time I moved to England, I couldn't find it anymore. Had no problems finding good red hair dye in England, then I came back to the U.S. Found another really good product, within a couple years, it was gone to.
My DD & I have tried a whole bunch of the dry hair sprays. all price ranges. The one we like well bove any others is Suave. First, they changed it a little & we couldn't find it. Then it's reformulated one became really hard to find. I felt like a weird hoarder when I found it last Sat. at Wal-Mart. I grabbed 4 of the 6 there, couldn't bring myself to take them all. I pictured someone like me being so happy to find them, so I left 2.
