You can do this!! Im on day 4, it seems a little easier so far today. The 1st 2 days I stopped and got a Blizzard from Dairy Queen bc I think I was having sugar withdrawals, I cannot substitute Diet Coke with ice cream LOL

You can do it! Last summer, the peas posted about cutting out soda. I thought they were crazy! Two weeks later, I looked at my recycle bin and saw it was full of cans. I decided not to buy it at the store and only drink it at restaurants. I ended up not even having that and cut it 99.9%. I've had 4 ginger ales in the past year while I'm flying. I did have a sip of my friends Pepsi and it tasted like it went bad. I was shocked at how it did t taste like anything I remember. I do love iced tea, so it was an easy switch caffeine wise. Good luck!!!

I went mostly off soda this year - I replaced by drinking a lot of green tea. The diet citrus type. It certainly made it easier for me. I'm curious what in soda you were giving up that isn't in the diet green tea? Both have caffeine and artificial sweeteners, the two most common reasons for giving up soda....

You can do this!! Im on day 4, it seems a little easier so far today. Day 3 is going so much easier! No headache, no fuzzy concentration. I'm drinking a lot of water (which I normally do but even more than normal). I am craving sugar a little but I have hard candies in my desk for those moments.
In fact it's free rootbeer float day and I'm the only one in the office that did go down to A&W. Last week I would have been leading then down the street.
I had the best night of sleep I have had in years. I always blamed it on my dog but I think it's the soda. Plus I noticed I didn't have reflex like I normally do in the afternoon.
This not drinking soda may actually work!

I've gotten off Dr. Pepper a few times. Excedrin Migraine is the only thing that helps my headaches (caffeine related or not.)
I am not again "off" Dr. Pepper but I don't think I'll ever stop craving it. When I do have one, I drink just a little then throw the rest out. I am allowing myself cherry limeades or a sprite sometimes. When I try to drink all water I feel sick to my stomach. Excuses, Excuses...
I hear Plexus helps take soda cravings away.
