I have been binge watching scrappy YouTube videos, and it seems that most of them use mist, in one way or another. I own *1* mist, and I used it once. I really have no desire to use them again. I feel left out. LOL

I have quite a bit of it but I definitely don't use it on every page.

I have a few mists and would like to use them a bit more. Not on every page though

I'm a mist user. I looked at all my old layouts yesterday and the ones without mist looked odd. I think I'm going to retroactively mist them.

You are not the only one. I own a ton of mist...they all look so pretty and appealing in the videos (and the store!) but when I go to use it on my layouts I can never get it to look "right." I have to say though, sometimes when I'm watching the videos it seems like the mist looks a bit messy or out of place until the layout is complete. Since it's so unpredictable perhaps the key is to just work with whatever the result is, regardless of whether or not it is exactly as intended. I may have to get out some of my mist and try it on my next layout.

I have about 10 bottles of mist, but rarely use them. So, you are not the only one!

I have some, but most of the time I'm afraid to use it. Maybe I need to watch a few more videos. More often than not, I just make a mess.

I am a new mister. I can't stand the unpredictability to is, so I only use it on the background before I put all the other items on the page, that way if I do not like the look of it I have only ruined the one sheet of background paper. I think it has a place, but I certainly don't use it on every page.

I think things always look better when someone else does them on a video. It is like food tasting better if you didn't have to cook it.

I have 5 bottles of mist but I don't use it as mist. Just as drops on my layouts. The misting technique never looks right when I do it.

You are not alone. I have a few bottles, but I rarely use them. I'm glad I have them as an occasional option - I have used them to mist, to add drops and flecks, with masks, and like paint. But it is still pretty rare for me to pull them out and I certainly couldn't justify a large collection of them.

I don't use mists on pages or cards or tags. There is only one thing that I use mists for, and that is when I make my own 3D flowers using Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies.
Misting the flowers just makes them so much prettier!
Mists on page layouts seems to warp the cardstock, and that bugs me, so flowers are the only way I use mists. With the 3D flower, warping doesn't seem to be an issue. Maybe because it is shaped and curled, so you don't notice.

I did one LO with mist and I had sprayed the background paper before adding anything to it, just in case things went awry. I use my mists to spray papers and use the misted papers to cut titles and paperpiecing. To stop the warping, I tape the paper down to a flattened corrugated cardboard box and use painters masking tape to tape it down, just to the very edge of the paper. Spritz and spray, let it dry overnight, and very little (mostly no) warping happens on the completed paper.
Love the look but hate having to wait a day or two to get creating. I think I'll try the drop technique, thanks for the idea!

I have about 3 bottles that came in kits. Have never used any of them. I know that I would create a huge mess. No thanks.

I just do drops as well. If I don't its like I've cut someone and they've bled all over my page! My favorites by far are Heidi Swapp's color shine. That gold just adds the right touch.

I use mine a lot - for misting, stenciling, drops, with a paintbrush (watered down) to make a background, used with the cellophane technique like Inky Quill does. Try it out and have fun with it.

I don't mist either. I think it looks good on other people's pages but just messy on mine.

Nope, you're not the only one.
It actually took me a while to get on the mist bandwagon and while I don't use it a lot I do get some use out of the few that I have. I've been using white cardstock bases instead of patterned paper lately so it adds some interest.

I do the splatters some. I have a large jar full of them and don't use them nearly as much as I should. They're mostly decoration at this point.

I just ordered my first bottle of mist yesterday on Amazon - Ranger's Perfect Pearls. I thought I might try it out on Christmas cards, to look like snow falling. I don't know how that will turn out, but I want to try. Maybe I should watch some of those videos first!

Like a lot of you, I have a few bottles and a decent amount of stencil masks -- I apparently love to buy the stuff -- but I rarely think to use it. Although just last night I got out a bottle and tried it on a wood embellishment and it worked pretty well. I had a bottle of acrylic paint standing by to cover up my mess should it fail.
But I still don't think I'll use it more often.

I too like the look of the drops versus the mist, but either way I always make a mess when I use mist. Therefore, my mists never get used.
