My sister has decided to sell this to make some extra money. I'm highly skeptical but that's my personality, especially when it comes to direct sales etc. I'll buy one or two items to support her and that's it. Anyone use it and can recommend it? It's awfully expensive and I'm not into that kind of stuff anyway. Most of my beauty products of which I use few, come from the drugstore.
But I want to support her so we shall see.

I'll be watching this thread.
I have only heard great things about Proactiv so I'm not as skeptical about this line as I am other MLM companies.

A girlfriend at work sells it and swears by it. she's been using/selling it for about 8 months I would guess. Usually, I can find SOMETHING to support a friend but that stuff is just SUPER expensive and despite all of the exclamations on how it works miracles, I have not seen any indication that there have been miracle-like changes in her skin. So this one I have silently passed on.

A lot of the people I work with sell it and use it. Several are in the top tier of the company and the highest sellers. Not of product necessarily but of downline. I have done some research and while I think this is a good product I think they are several out there that are comparable and equally expensive but you do not have to be in a MLM. I had to hide all those people from my FB feed because their marketing is to spam FB with as many post as possible. They get LOTS of comments on the posts but if you go and click on the names of the commenter's they all work for R&F as well!
So if you are salesperson and have lots of friends you can be successful because I have seen it happen. BUT if you are not, you will only end up in debt from the product you are required to buy in order to stay active.

I don't sell it, but have been using their unblemish line for almost a year. It's the only thing I've tried that works for my adult acne. I have tried switching to other products (due to the cost of R&F) and I start breaking out again. I really like the product, but not the cost!

I have a friend that sells it and gave me some a few times. I did like it. But then my company got acquired by another company that has a skin care line and I started using that. I actually like it better and it's a ton cheaper.

Mochi...would you mind telling me which of the umblemish products you use? I have a friend who recently started selling it and I would like to try something (1) to support her and (2) because I need to clear acne! Win-Win!
sweetpeasmom --- can you share what you are using that you like?

I don't use it but I have to say, when I was growing up, my dermatologist was Katie Rodan. She was awesome and cleared my skin right up. I don't need acne stuff now since I keep it under control with Dr. Bronner Peppermint soap but the results that friends of mine (who are reps) post are pretty darn impressive.

At an IEP meeting last year, in walked a mom that I thought was a guidance counseling intern. She looked 24. I am not kidding. She's in her forties. She uses R And F. Now, maybe it's genetics, but her skin was stunningly beautiful. She wore a little eye makeup only. On her way to the meeting, she was stopped three times for being in the hall without a pass, so some people thought she was a student.

I have a friend that recently started selling. I had to hide the posts on Facebook...
The other day she sent a message. Oh she wants to get together since she's in town, nope a sales pitch.
I hope she does well but still has friends afterwards...

I have a friend who sells it, and she is very successful. she is a fulltime Labor and delivery nurse, plus has a stationery business, and now she's doing this *in addition* and really loving it. I wouldn't be surprise if she drops one of her other jobs. I bought some of the famous eye cream, I am slightly allergic to it and my eyes water and swell a bit so I stopped. but I know other people who use and love it.
i use proactive and love it.
i have a friend who sells nerium, and gave me a bottle to sample last week. now THAT, seems to work for me. already in 6 days my eye wrinkles are reduced, and no swelling/watering. i bet if you stopped using it you go back to normal, but who knows. when it's in the budget i plan to buy some of that and the body firming cream. i have seen my friend in swim suits pre and post cream, and her cellulite is really almost gone. she is thinner, but did have dimpling. and she's not started working out or toning or anything either.

I have a friend that just started selling this. She invited me to a party on Tuesday. Just might go since Dh is off work and I can go kidless. Don't plan on buying anything unless I am totally blown away, which I hope doesn't happen. I've heard it's pretty spendy.

I've been using R&F Redefine for about 15 months now, and I do like it, especially the eye cream and two facial moisturizers. I didn't like the mask you're supposed to use for washing your face (used it once, then gave it to DD who takes all my hand-me-downs) and never tried the toner. I really love the eye cloths. And I use the Essentials body moisturizer, too ... it has a nice, light fragrance. My consultant is kind of a friend, more like a friend of a friend, and either we aren't Facebook friends or I never see her posts, so that works. LOL Yes, it's expensive, but pretty much in the same price range as the department store brands I was using before. And I do like it. Does it help? I don't know, I can't truly tell, but I think so. I was willing to take a chance on it in the first place because my niece has had so much luck with Pro-Active. When you first order from them, you pay $20 to "join" (my consultant paid this for me) and then you get 10% off the listed prices and free shipping on your regular shipment (every two months). You can go in and customize your order each time. Or cancel it and remain a member, I think, but I've never done that so I can't promise.

sweetpeasmom --- can you share what you are using that you like? Sure. It's by Youngevity. I use their Botanical Skin Care line. It's a natural product and has citrus essential oils in it. It's concentrated so you don't need a lot and it lasts a long time. The starter kit comes with 2 cleansers, a toner, and 2 moisturizers. I use one cleanser in the am and one in the pm. Same with the moisturizers. You can see it at My Youngevty Site. Message me if you'd like more info.

My sister gave some of this to my mom and she LOVED it. It is now the "group gift" we do for her birthday and Mother's Day. I don't know how long it lasts for her and whether or not she is buying an additional amount during the year. It is expensive, but it looks great.

My niece just started selling it recently, so I see FB posts nearly every day. I have no idea if the products support their claims but I am not a big fan of MLM.

I use it, and I LOVE it! I started with the Reverse, and it did exactly what it said it was supposed to do. I had horrible brown patches on my skin and within 3 months or so, the brown patches had faded. Both my sisters and my mom who I only see a few times every year all noticed what a difference it made. I switch back and forth now between Reverse and the Redefine. It has been a miracle for my 40 something year old skin. It is expensive, but so worth it to me. My skin was looking very tired and my regular skin care regime was just blah, and I started using this and it made such a difference. I sound like a commercial for this stuff, but I think it is that good.

It's one of those things that I would love to try if I could walk into Sephora and purchase, but I don't feel like dealing with all the membership and auto-shipping hassle!

It really isn't a hassle for the autoship deal. I love that I don't have to think about it...just shows up at my door when I need it. I think it's pretty convenient.

I have a friend that sells it and her canned Facebook posts make me crazy. The before pictures are always in horrible light and the after pictures are in good light. It is so obvious what they are doing.
I'm about ready to unfollow her. It is obvious that R + F are writing the posts. Weird marketing technique.

I have never used it and never will. EVERY person I know who has sold it has gone completely overboard all over FB, to the point that I have hidden their statuses until they move on to something else. I'm not a fan of obnoxious marketing, and it very much is. If it were just one consultant, that would be one thing, but it truly has been every.single.one that I know.

Thanks for the feedback. I will give it a try and see. Hopefully my sister will not become obnoxious on FB with it. I hate that and yes, it seems whenever anyone I know starts selling any MLM product, they go crazy on FB and I end up hiding them.

I reluctantly went to my friend's start up party when she joined the business. There was NO way I could get out of it, as I was going to be at her house just prior to the event. I bought the stuff, with every intention of sending it back for a refund. I have rosacea with very oily skin. Just thinking about using any kind of lotion on my face makes me break out in deep, cystic acne. If I go a day without a new pimple, I'm happy. I didn't get the unblemish wash, because it's sulfur based, and I'm allergic to it, so I got the Soothe wash and Sensitive Skin Treatment. I planned to try it, show her how bad my face broke out from it, and send it back. Well...it worked. No more redness, no breakouts. For my next order, I'm going to add the Unblemish spot fading toner to even things out.

I am not a fan of any home product or catalog type sales. I think most of it is overpriced. I can buy the same product for half the price at a store.
That being said, if you want to help your sister out, I would just give her cash instead. That way she gets 100% of the money. Instead of you having to buy some over-priced items, that you didn't really want in the first place, that your sister would only receive a small percent of from the sale.

Oh and I'm a little tired of seeing the hashtag #bossbabe.
