Got Ali's and Jasmine's. I also got the red 6x8 with words on it. I'm a happy camper. Just hope everything is here on time.

I got the main kit and the ashley g kit. The paper was so amazing. Can't wait to see it in person. I will probably sell the roller stamp if anyone is interested. I just don't really stamp.
I am either going to use an old SC album that I have or a simple stories album. I can't decide. I really like that I didn't have to buy any stamps!!!
I am hoping more pics will surface of some of the other kits. There is one I really like but I think I need to see more pics of it. I am on the fence about KP! I thought I would get it but I think I only want those little fake sequins. The paper is just too off for me. I thought I'd want it but I just want what I saw in the sneaks -- the swans!

I know there was another thread about a possible OA kit, but does anyone know about gossamer blue? Have they announced a kit and/or time frame? Haven't heard anything from them or Scraptastic (also had a kit last year) yet. Citrus Twist are also having a kit. As a new subscriber I just got notified about it. The price will be $50 and the kit comes with a free class.

Nope staying strong and not going to order. I have plenty left from last year and I just decided to plan a European vacation for next year. That means I really have to cut back on craft spending.

Am I crazy or does anyone else remember Ali mentioning a December photo checklist to be included with the first free orders?

I think Ali's main kit is gorgeous, but I won't use it. I don't like using tags and the numbers are half the reason I buy a DD kit! I also don't use much PP at all and use a lot of photos instead, so the PP and especially the PP that is photorealistic won't get used. I like some of the embellishments a lot but not $50 worth (especially because I'm in Canada and have to factor in exchange/shipping). I think I am going to sit tight and wait for the 2014 kit to be discounted, because I love it and will use a lot more of its contents, even if I toss the labels dated '2014'. Does anyone remember how much the 2013 kit was sold for last year?

It was great to finally see everything.
Out of all the kits, including Ali's, I like KP's the best. Those colors are not what I would normally scrap Christmas with, but they were so different and funky.
But...still not buying anything, lol. Not even a stamp set got to me enough to buy. I have so much overload of Christmas stash, what I have will never ever get used.

I think SC/Ali tried to get out ahead of everyone else this year after the issues last year. I bet we'll start hearing from others (OA, Scraptastic, GB, I think Citrus Twist usually has a kit, Cocoa Daisy??) soon. Wow. Didn't realize there were so many others! I am in the minority and didn't love the sneaks of the AE kit, so I am trying not to get sucked into all of the hype and FOMO about it and patiently wait for one that I like better. It's not just you. I really wanted to like Ali's main kit, but the papers are SO NOT my style. Peppermint's isn't what I was wanting either. The colours aren't vibrant enough for me. I'm leaning towards two of the mini kits ($46 inc. shipping isn't too bad) since they've got a lot of paper and journal cards on their own. I would've ordered Jasmine's album, but it's sold out. I bought a Scraptastic kit on sale a year or two ago and oh.my.word. They are PACKED! I probably could've done two DD's with the one kit. The downside is they were one of the pricier kits out there.

I thought I would seriously cave as soon as I saw everything, but I haven't yet. I'm leaning towards making my own kit. I can't believe some things are already sold out!

I love everything! But I am still sticking with my white and gold album theme. I did order the tags die because I really love those and have nothing like that in my stash.

I have never done a DD. In addition to never doing a DD I do not actually have a lot of Christmas themed stash. i took a look and I have a few papers but not really much else. I caved and bought Ali's kit and a couple of the mini kits. I really want to try the DD this year. Mainly because I love the excitement of the holiday season, it seems like they might have the shipping better this year (didn't order last year but I remember them not getting to people until November?--I think?), and it will be a fun project to work on while I have a few days off during the holidays. I look forward to seeing what everyone else posts for inspiration!

I was out food shopping and when I checked the DD stuff the album and the stamp set I wanted are SOLD OUT. Seriously disappointed!I think I'm just going to use the stuff that I have already have.

I settled on Jasmine's and Kelly's mini kits and a pack of the tabs. I like the activity cards in Emily's set, but figured I could DIY some that work with my photos. If you search pinterest for "Christmas Bucket List" you get a lot of great ideas to use. I've easily got more than enough now for a DD plus some holiday spreads in my PL if I decide to do both. And it cost less than buying the main kit.

Wow, can't believe so much sold out so fast!! I didn't think it was a "sell out" type of situation. If it's pre-order, I was assuming they would let people order, then place an order for the product, then ship it out when it came in. This makes it sound like they already have the quantities of the items they're going to have...in which case, why is it just a preorder instead of just an order??? Confused. Guess I won't be adding a stamp to my order after all Oh, well. More $$ in my pocket!

I had some stuff in my cart but had to register and my Java crapped out and I just said, "It's a sign." Then I heard a ton of stuff was already sold out and had visions of the damn SC drama over unavailable product. Saved myself $60.

I'm not sure why they are referring to this as pre-order either since it seems like they have all of their stock ready. It seems like just a regular order to me. I'm surprised that so much has already sold out! I wonder if they regret having the pre-order open to everyone and not just studio calico & ali edwards subscribers.

So if you order something today and change your mind tomorrow, can you cancel? I've never ordered with this preorder thing.

According to the fine print from the email sent out with info on how the preorder works any cancellation of a pre-ordered item is subject to a $15 cancellation fee.

December Daily has never been a "subscriber" thing. Limiting it to only subbers would have been a HUGE marketing blunder. I think selling out on stuff is a good thing - for the business. On one hand, you want to make sure you have enough stuff so everyone gets something but then that's a huge gamble and could end up with too much back stock. I am surprised to see so many things sold out so early, though.

Guess I won't be adding a stamp to my order after all Oh, well. More $$ in my pocket! Most of the products are manufactured overseas. They'd have already placed an order and in all likelihood, the kit contents are on a boat coming from China as we speak. This process is just to have guaranteed sales before every other kit club and scrapbook company releases their version of DD. SC banks on our FOMO. Trying to get extra stock now is probably a pain since there's no guarantee it'll arrive early enough to appease customers.

OK, that would make sense in terms of a preorder.
They'd have to order a ton more as custom products usually have a minimum order quantity.

I am getting a little FOMO antsy guys, not gonna lie. I really like this kit. It's like Sophie's Choice between DD and my cable bill!

I haven't read all of the posts over at SC... But with the sell outs and people not happy about missing out- wonder if anyone is going to make a stink about the preorder mistake last night. Ali said that if you got an order in during the mistake you were good to go. Hope their goof doesn't come back to bite her in the butt.

It really shouldn't. If SC goofed and released materials early, anyone who ordered shouldn't be penalized for their screw up. Stinks that it meant less for the real pre-order. But, I doubt that that many customers ordered last night to make a difference anyways.
