I just had a thought today about how much I miss Mrs. Grossman stickers! In one of my earliest creative endeavors, I created fancy Christmas sacks for gifts for my niece and nephew -- embellished with Mrs. G. stickers! When we first started scrapbooking, stickers were about the be all and end all. Our group knew of a store who carried a LOT of Mrs. G. stickers and we would always be popping by to see what what new. Some of my earliest Creative Memories pages -- that I still enjoy -- are as simple as a drawn border interspersed with theme specific stickers! And let's not forget the "sticker art" -- Mrs. G. classes with fun sticker art creations on beautiful glossy note cards, monthly subscriptions to sticker art newsletters that provide 10 - 12 different creations every month! I have some Mrs. G. stickers that are older than my son ... and at a recent crop, some metallic design line stickers were the perfect answer to a little problem!
What scrappy thing do you miss?

I loved mrs Grossmans stickers when I was a young teen. That brings back memories. I didn't realize they weren't still available.
I miss Chatterbox scrapbook papers and Sonnets letter stickers. Loved those. I did hoard some chatterbox paper at the time they were going out of business, so I still have some to work with, but I always hoped they would expand into designing fabrics with their "walls" collections. Would have made some wonderful quilts.

I miss the magazines, I miss the "good" stores, I miss the conventions, I miss all the great little companies and some of the big awesome ones. So many wonderful things have gone by the wayside. I'm glad we still have a few fun online magazines and some good online stores. I try to support the handful of stores anywhere around me, and I hope we can hang onto the manufacturers we have left.

I still have some Mrs. Grossman's stickers. They're still very pretty, simple designs that have stood the test of time. Doubt if I'll ever use them, but you never know. I put a little CM pie sticker on a layout the other day.
I'll take pretty new embellishments, flower clusters, enamel dots and brads, over flat old stickers any day.
My favorite thing ever in papercrafting was the make and take workshops at my LSS. They had lots of fun and adorable projects. Their creative team was so friendly and talented. I really miss them.

I miss Chatterbox and Junkitz. I really miss Chatterbox, though! I would love to see what they would be designing now. Their first lines were often retro so would they now be more modern? What would they look like? What kinds of embellishments would they have? Would they still have the rooms and just modernization of the rooms? I wish someone would buy the company and keep it going. Basic Grey used to meet all my needs. Now I don't give it a second glance. All My Memories?? Loved everything! OMG everything! What would their stuff look like now? Daisy D's? Loved this brand. I know lots loved Scenic Route-I have used it many times and I am good I loved Creative Imaginations (lots of their designers who had their own lines) Foofala! I loved that! Ok you get the picture. I would love to see what 10 years later looks like!

I miss the magazines! All of them! I also miss Foofala and Daisy D's and Chatterbox. I also wonder what they would design today.
And I miss Rebecca Sower, Sharon Soneff and Karen Russell.

I miss Archivers. It was my LSS and I was there almost weekly. I miss their Mania crops. It was so nice to be able to go out into the store and pick up a specific color of card stock to match what you were working on. I miss seeing product in person. It's just not the same buying online.

I miss the LSS. The last one closed a little over a year ago. We have a stamp store and a paper arts store, which carry some scrapping stuff, but they aren't the same.
I miss my two main scrapping buddies. They both moved away to other states. I enjoy those with whom I scrapbook now, but we aren't as close friends as I was with my former scrapping buddies.
I miss my drive to scrapbook. It got kind of lost along the way a few years back.
Most of what I miss aren't specific products. I have such a huge stash that I have plenty of favorite products to use.

Archivers. I used to meet my sister and another friend on a Saturday there every couple months and we'd scrap all day and do Mania in the evening. Lots of catching up too. We don't have anywhere like that to go anymore.

I miss the crops I used to attend at a B&B. Most people were locals, but a few of us flew in from other area or from out of state. About half of those people don't scrap anymore. Favorite manufacturers that are no longer with us? Junkitz (loved their paper, but some of their embellishments were too out there [zippers??!]), AAM (loved their metal embellishments with words), Foofala. I miss magazines. I just resubscribed to two (non scrappy) magazines because I miss being able to read articles at my leisure. I miss the excitement of seeing new designers and new companies come on the market. For any Mrs. Grossman's fans (or even if you're not a fan, but are looking for some fun in the Bay Area), they still have factory tours. Very interesting to see the manufacturing process and of course, they give you stickers at the end of the tour.

Like many others, I miss my LSS. I never took classes or cropped at the store, but I loved shopping there. I also miss local scrappy friends. I used to have a few friends who would scrap with me, but they all quit over the years.

i miss the magazines too, simple scrapbooks was my favourite and i bought every issue. yes to making memories. really miss those little letter rub-on books that were on a post. i used those until there were only a handful of letters left in each. i also miss the kenner road kit club. i loved my kenner road kits though i made more cards with them than layouts as my layouts are pretty simple. i also miss scenic route and the art warehouse christmas lines (i still have some hoarded epoxy christmas trees and overlays from them). and, of course, hambly for their overlays and rub-ons. sigh. the good old days!

Aww man. I hadn't thought about sticker art in forever. There was a time I stalked the sticker wall at the LSS for Mrs. g.
Remember those Scrapbooking articles that Rockester used to put out? I miss those.

I miss Chatterbox & KI Memories in their heyday - both offered classic patterned papers & fun embellishments in color palettes that worked well for me! Luckily, I still have several papers/embellishments/matching Bazzill cardstock sheets left that I often incorporate into my layouts.

I miss scrapbook ETC. magazine. I so loved that magazine and still have a select few magazines that I saved. I miss the community of scrapbooking I had. I do have a friend who loves to scrap locally but she is very busy and we do not scrap very often. I really miss sassafras lass. I really loved their paper and stickers - I still have a bit left to use up.

It pains me to say it, but I miss the 2peas store. Since they closed I have placed only one online order. For whatever reason the store worked for me and I was one of the few lucky ones who never had a problem with them. I've tried Scrapbook.com, ACOT & others, but I get overwhelmed and frustrated and give up. Now I depend on the selection found at the big box stores and my sub to Cocoa Daisy. On the plus side, my bank account is bigger and I'm working through my stash of Sassafrass Lass, KI and all of the other beloved scrappy companies that are no longer around.

anonrefugee i don't know what happened really other than em just deciding she wanted to do other things. seems to be what is happening a lot. gigi kennedy was a scrapbooker i loved too but she just stopped. i miss the inspiration i found in her work. onescrappygirl i miss the two peas store as well because i must have been another lucky one but i never had problems when i ordered from there either. i can't say that i haven't shopped much online though. i shop altogether too much online. i am trying to just be happy with my sub to AE story kits and to the CD planner kit and honestly i have enough. i don't really need to buy anymore!

I miss the lss, though we still have a small one, and like many have said, the magazines. I subscribed to all of them, including Ivy Cottage Creations and Paperkuts.
But I am happy so see that this board seems to be more active lately. Now if I would only get up and scrap!

Wow, I miss how "in" scrapbooking was - it was everywhere. I miss the Magazines the most. Loved sitting down with one and devouring it.
I still get together with friends 2x a year (used to be 3x) at a scrap retreat. But out of 12 of us I think less than half of actually still scrapbook at the retreats. Makes it not as fun for those who still do.
I made some great life long friends scrapbooking.

I haven't scrapped since I moved to this house about 4+ years ago. I have my stash. I have the space. I have plenty to catch up on with the boys' albums. I just can't seem to start. My best friend, who has also been my scrapping buddy over the years, sent me a link to booking some crop weekends earlier this evening. That's really what drove me to the scrapbooking forum here. I miss it so. She and I both want to return to crop weekends a few times each year. Anybody want to kick my butt to get me started?
