Maybe not the whole world, but at least my little friends list on FB. After the amazing words of encouragement and support I received here on 2peas a few weeks ago about the recent transition of my child, Noah, I started sharing with close friends about our journey. The love our family received was overwhelming to me. Not one negative word, and just loads and loads of hugs, support, positive messages and encouragement has flooded my heart. I have read each and every message to Noah, and the most wonderful words have come from right here in the this 2peas community. You all don't even know us, yet you have reached out to us in a way that has truly humbled me. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know. Thank you so much! If any of you ever need another Facebook friend, I will happily accept your request. You are amazing! I just posted on FB, so I'm a little nervous about the response, but I'm hopeful I will see good things in the comments section in the days ahead. Wish us luck! In case you missed the first thread, you can read about my sweet child here on my new, very-beginner blog. wrongwayfeldman.wordpress.com/2015/07/17/9/Michele And I'm serious about the FB friend add. I need all the support I can get!

That's wonderful, I hope you all continue to receive nothing but love and support in response. If you do want to announce it to the even wider world, you could always do something like this: link

I'm so happy you have received positive response on your FB page.
No matter what people think of Caitlyn Jenner, she has put the issue out there for the general public. I think that took great courage. I think YOU are showing the same courage.

Yay! There is no shame in letting people learn and grow in understanding as you process through this, in fact it's quite the opposite... you go girl! Parenting is tough work. We fall in love with our kids before they're born and envision their futures, it's not their responsibility to live up to the preconceived notions we've conjured up in our heads about who they will / should be. Sometimes, often actually, people just figure it out on their own by putting one foot in front of the other. You can add me on Facebook if you'd like, I'd be happy to call you friend!

I really enjoyed your blog post, and am so, so glad your son has been able to find his true self. You and your family have done a wonderful job supporting him. Sharing these stories is very important so that people can learn how truly difficult it is for someone who is transgender and the incredible struggles they go through. We also need to work harder on educating our children so they can be more compassionate (even if you don't agree based in beliefs); my kids both have gay/lesbian/transgender friends and to us they are no different than anyone else.
I wish your son the best in his future. He sounds like an amazing person with a bright and happy future ahead of him!

This is a story that gives hope and joy a place at the table for the future of our world. Please tell Noah that he is a trailblazer and just reading his story may be the light at the end of the tunnel for many others who are just beginning their journey. Blessings to your whole amazing family.

I am happy that is all going so well. I have checked back a few times to see if there were any new entries because I ordered how things were going. I am looking forward to more on Noah's journey and I have shared it with my teen daughter and she was excited to hear more too.
