I do PL weekly and couldn't fit a year into a 6x8 size. I do love the 6x8 size for mini albums though! I'm using one to document our camping stories. It's perfect. Hopefully doing it monthly I can fit it in to either one or two 6x8 binders. I also found some Instagram type page protectors from Simple Stories that fit 12 2 inch photos so I thought those would be good if I end up with masses of photos one month.

My daughter went skydiving and I'm going to use the 6x8 size to make an album just for that.

I do PL on more of a monthly basis, not weekly. This January I started out with a 6x8 becuase it's always been a challenge to fill a 12x12 album. I was LOVING it until last month when I realized I was running out of room, and was likely going to need another 6x8 to finish the year. I didn't want that, so I bought a 12x12 and moved everything. I will very likely consider giving it a go again next year, and just make sure to put more pictures on a 3x4, and save as much room as possible. I do have a Pinterest board dedicated to PL 6x8 if you need some inspiration. Here I am: Katie's Pinterest Page

Glad to hear the love for this size. I just picked up 2 albums plus a few packs of page protectors in hopes of doing a quick baby album for both kids. I attempted a CTMH album years ago doing traditional pages and just realized that it is not going to happen so I have decided to switch. My goal is to be done and give it to them by Christmas. Katie your pinterest board is awesome! Thanks!

I bought a SC handbook to try but haven't started yet. It seems like a nice size. However, I just learned that the SC page protectors are misshapen and fall part. Usually the ladies on that board are so forgiving of everything SC puts out, so if they say the protectors are bad they must be! Just a heads up.

I particularly love this size for smaller events like my in-laws' visit or a road trip/vacation. I chose to do my 2013 Dec Daily in this size also. It's easier to work with so it's probably nice for people who are overwhelmed with the 12x12-sized PL spreads.

I can't think of her name, but there's a scrapper who does her PL in 6x8... She's single/no kids (which is why I started following her), and I think that can make a difference... You can highlight a couple things that happened that week to you without having to document every coffee you drink each week...lol Not sure if I could fit the activities of me, SO, kids into a 6x8...
I use 6x8 albums for my december daily, and for a health/weight loss type album I keep...

This is the size I've been using the last couple of years. They are somewhat limiting, but I really do like them. They're easier to complete, easier to store and easier for my kids to hold & look through.
I've learned to take almost all landscape-oriented photos, and plan to cut off the extra on the sides, so they become the 3x4 portraits without the extra hassle of modifying them. If there's a photo I know I'll want to print in the portrait orientation, I'll take them both ways.
I like that it pushes me to be more concise & be intentional with what I want to record. My SIL has been scrapbooking for years, some years she has four 12x12 albums covering a single year. That's fine since she enjoys creating them, but I always wonder who is going to want 75 albums when she's gone?
To each their own- I really enjoy the smaller size.
